Surprisingly, Rebecca had one of the best sleeps of her life that night. One that was so good, she never once heard her alarm go off, although it had been buzzing for almost an hour.Mercedes knocked on her door and came in with an aggravated sigh. She found Rebecca's phone and turned it off before shaking Rebecca slightly. "Becks, your alarm has been going off for an hour. Time to get up bae." Mercedes then walked over to a big window, opening up the curtain.
Rebecca groaned and opened her eyes. She squinted up at Mercedes. "What time is it?"
Mercedes looked pulled her phone out of her back pocket. "It's 9:30." She then sat down on the bed for a second, patting Rebecca's arm. "Pam made breakfast if you want any. She figured you could use a big meal."
Rebecca laughed and yawned. "I'll be in there in a few."
Mercedes nodded as she stood. "Alright. Also when you get done eating, we're helping you pack the rest of your belongings." She said walking towards the door. "Gotta make sure you don't over work yourself." She said with a wink.
Rebecca smiled and rubbed her eyes. She then, slowly, rolled out of bed to go do her skincare. After she was done she packed the essentials she had on her sink and placed them in a box before labeling it with a sharpie. She laid the box along with her other boxes in the floor of her room and finally, walked out of her bedroom.
Before getting breakfast though, she walked over to where August was standing, and called him up into her arms. She gave it a kiss on top of the head and set it down across the kitchen so it could eat. "There she is!" Pamela said with a plate of pancakes in hand.
Rebecca looked over her shoulder and smiled. "Aww, for me?"
Pamela nodded and handed her the plate. "Yeah. I figured I would make you a goodbye breakfast."
Rebecca smiled and wrapped an arm around Pamela. "Thank you, Pam." She then chuckled. "How much convincing did it take for you three to not eat cereal?"
Pamela laughed as they stepped back. "Surprisingly, none of us wanted any. Ashley was excited to eat pancakes, Mercedes was too."
Rebecca smiled and walked over to the kitchen bar to eat. She pulled out a barstool and sat down. "Well thank you. This is really good."
Pamela smiled. "It's my pleasure." She then went over to her dog to play with it while Rebecca ate. "So how did dinner go last night?"
Rebecca finished chewing before answering. "Surprisingly, it went really good! His parents were really nice about it." She then took a sip of water. "His mom actually got mad at him because she thought he was planning on leaving me..."
Pamela gasped. "Oh my god! Really?" She then smirked a little. "That means she likes you!"
Rebecca nodded. "Yeah. She didn't want me to go through it alone. I guess where she's a mother, it's kind of a protective thing, ya know?"
Pamela nodded and pet on her dog. "Well that makes sense."
Mercedes then opened her door and came out holding a box. "Hey you two!"
Rebecca smiled and took another bite of food while she watched Mercedes bring the box into the kitchen. "Hey...what's this?"
Mercedes winked and sealed the box. "Just a little gift from us to you..."
Rebecca smiled and watched as Ashley came from her bedroom as well, with a smile on her face. "Can i open it?"
Ashley shook her head. "Nope. It's for when you move in with Colby."
Rebecca squinted her eyes. "Y'all are acting weird."
Mercedes shrugged. "It's only weird if you make it weird."
The doorbell then rang, and the girls heard a familiar male voice outside the door. "Ladies...care to let me in?"
Ashley scoffed with a smile. "Nah. Go home Lopez. You can't just take her and think you'll get away with it."
Mercedes laughed and walked to the door opening it. "Moving truck here?"
Colby nodded and leaned against the doorframe. "Yeah it's here...is she awake?"
Mercedes nodded and pointed towards the kitchen bar. "Yeah. She's eating her goodbye breakfast."
Colby smiled. "That was nice of y'all to do that..." He then stuffed his hands in his pockets. "Do you have most of your boxes packed?"
Rebecca stood up and nodded. "Yeah, they're in my room. And a few of them are scattered throughout the apartment."
Colby nodded. "Alright. I'll carry them down while you three talk."
The girls watched as he moved towards her bedroom. Ashley turned and looked at Rebecca. "Dude, he's so in love with you."
Rebecca blushed. "I know...I'm in love with him too..."
Mercedes and the girls looked at each other with a smile. "Do you think he'll propose?"
Rebecca sighed and shrugged. "Someday, yeah. But right now...I think we're just both just...settling in"
Pamela nodded and walked over to pat Rebecca's shoulder. "Well we better be the first to know when it happens."
Rebecca laughed. "Alright, I promise."
Colby then walked out of the room with three boxes in his hands. "Can someone get the door, please?"
Ashley laughed and quickly moved towards the door. "Do you need us to help?"
He then turned around and gave her a blank expression. "No, I don't need help. There's just twelve more boxes-"
Ashley threw her hands up in surrender. "Okay, I get it smarty pants." She then looked towards the girls. "Come on ladies, let's get the rest of mama's stuff."
