Rebecca probably just had one of the best nights of her life. She thought she was going to spend the evening with her best friends but instead, she meets the man she couldn't stop thinking about, again. She didn't know if it was because of the beers, or if it was her feelings erupting, but she wanted more of him. And when she saw the look he was giving her on their walk back to her apartment, she knew he felt the same way.
As soon as they got back to Rebecca's apartment, they took off their coats and shoes before she gave him a tour of her new home. "Don't know if you can tell, but these are Mercedes and Pam's rooms. The bright pink one is Ashley's."
Colby laughed as he looked around. "It's like your own little barbie house."
Rebecca laughed and shook her head. "So what do you think the others thought about us leaving together?"
Colby smirked. "Well I don't know about your friends, but I'm one hundred percent sure Joseph and Jonathan think we're screwing." Colby then pushed off the wall, walking towards her, wrapping his arms around her waist. "And if we're being honest with one another, I'd love to kiss you..."
Rebecca put her hands on his chest. "I...I want to kiss you, too. It's just weird because I haven't kissed anyone besides Luke in 3 years. I'd like to brush my teeth first."
Colby laughs. Rebecca loves his laugh. There's something about him that makes her feel attractive. The way he looks at her. The way he talks to her. She's not sure anyone has ever made her feel as beautiful as he makes her feel when he looks at her. Like it's taking everything in him to keep his lips off of hers. His eyes fall to her lips and he leans so close, she can smell the flavor of gun he's chewing. Spearmint. He presses his forehead to the side of her head, causing her knees to lock. His lips right over her ear when he whispers, "Hurry. Please..."
She slips around him and rushes to her bathroom. She opens the drawer and pulls out her toothbrush and toothpaste like she's racing against time. Her hands shake as she squeezes the toothpaste out on the brush. She turns on the water starts brushing her teeth furiously. She's brushing her tongue when she looks in the mirror and sees Colby walk into the bathroom behind her, and she laughs at how ridiculous this is.
Colby seems to be enjoying the ridiculousness of this moment just as much as she is. He's now leaning against the sink next to her, watching her spit her toothpaste into the sink. She then grabs a cup beside of her and fills it with water, swishing it around before spitting it out. She then fills the cup up again and takes a sip but this time she swallows the water because Colby takes the cup from her and sets it on the sink.
He pulls the piece of gum out of his mouth and tosses it in the trash can, then he slides his other hand around her head and doesn't even ask if she's ready yet. He brings his mouth to hers, assured and eager, like the last sixty seconds have been pure torture. The moment their lips touch, it's like their feelings burst into flames.
He doesn't even start with an introductory, slow kiss. His tongue is in her mouth, likes he's been there many times before and knows what to do. He turns her until her back is against the sink, then he lifts her up and sets her on the bathroom counter. He settles himself between her legs, grabbing her butt with both hands pulling her against him. She wraps her arms around him then locks her legs around him, almost melting onto him.
The way his lips move on hers makes her question the last 3 years she's spent with Luke. He starts to ease the pressure and she catches herself pulling him against her, not wanting him to stop. But he does. Slowly. He gives her a small peck on the corner of her mouth before pulling back.
"Wow." She whispers. She opens her eyes and he's staring at her. But he's not looking at her in awe like she's looking at him. There's a very noticeable look on his face.
He shakes his head slowly, his eyes narrowing. "I can't believe neither one of us got each others number. We could have been kissing like this for weeks."
His comment threw her off. So much so, she stumbled over her words when she attempted a response. "I thought...I guess I thought that being around you would remind me of Luke too much. Of everything that happened that night."
Colby nods like he understands. "And have you thought about him since we saw each other at the bar?"
"Once," She says. "Just now."
"Good. Because I'm not Luke." He lifts Rebecca up, carrying her to her bed. He lays her down and then backs away pulling off his shirt. Rebecca wasn't sure she had ever touched skin that smooth and tight and beautiful and tanned. Colby without a shirt is near perfection.
"I like your..." She points to his chest and makes a circular motion with her finger. "Your body. It's very nice."
Colby laughs, pressing a knee into the mattress. He lies down next to her. "Thank you," he says. "But you can't have this body right now." He adjusts the pillow beneath his head getting comfortable.
Rebecca lifts up on her elbow and scowls at him. "Why not?"
"What's the rush? I'll be here all night."
Rebecca batted her eyelids. "What if the girls find out your here?"
Colby shrugged. "I really don't care."
"Well what are we gonna do while we wait? Talk?"
Colby laughs. "You sound like conversation with me is the worst thing in the world."
"If we talk before we have sex, I might find out things I don't like about you. Then the sex wouldn't be fun."
He reaches up and tucks a piece of her hair behind her ear with a grin. "Or...you might find out we're soulmates and the sex will be mind-blowing."
