Chapter 17

Truth be told, Rebecca had been an amazing addition to the dentist office—and not just because she's Colby's girlfriend. She absolutely loved her job, and looked forward to working everyday. She even got to start going in at the same time as Colby after the office figured out they were together.

They figured out two days after she started. She had went into the break room to eat lunch, and had to eat by herself—thanks to everyone else leaving once she walked in. Colby though, saw her in there alone, and of course, he joined her for lunch. Before they left to go back to their patients, he had kissed her. And Renee—along with some other people—had saw.

His coworkers must not have cared though, because they didn't say anything about them being together—except for Renee who was over the moon for them. Even if they did though, they couldn't do anything about it, because Colby was their boss.

It had been two weeks since then, and it was a Friday night. Halloween night to be exact, and Colby and Rebecca would be going to a Halloween party hosted at Mercedes's workplace.

They were both excited to go, and once they had their costumes on, they would be meeting up with Joseph and Jonathan—since they didn't know where she worked—to take them along to the party.

Rebecca paced around her bedroom, waiting for Colby to come out of the bathroom. She was already dressed, and like Colby had promised, they dressed up as Harley Quinn and Joker. Now she was waiting for Colby to get done so they could take pictures.

August jumped up on her bed—wagging its tail back and forth— and barked up at her. Rebecca smiled and bent over to pet on him. "He's taking forever ain't he buddy?"

August barked again and licked her nose. "Awe, i love you too."

When the door finally opened, Rebecca turned around and broke out into a big smile. "Oh my gosh! Colby...you look hot."

Colby smirked then moved closer to her checking her out. "I look hot? Have you seen my girlfriend?"

Rebecca smiled and leaned up to kiss him. "We look deadly..." She then made sure her lipstick hadn't caused his to smear. "Can we take pictures?"

Colby nodded and gave her a hard dizzying kiss. "After I'm done with you we can."

Rebecca squinted her eyes but before she knew what was happening, Colby's lips were back on hers, and he had his hands planted on her butt pulling her closer. When Rebecca felt how hard he was though, she chuckled and placed her hands on his chest, pulling away slightly. "Listen, as much as I would like to continue this, the party starts at eight, and if we don't leave in the next ten minutes, we're going to be late." She then smiled and kissed him one more time before walking back towards the bed to grab her phone. "Plus if I took these fish nets off, I would never get them nor my leather shorts back on."

Colby groaned and grabbed his phone from his back pocket. "Let's get these pictures taken then, before I change my mind and throw you on the bed."

Rebecca shook her head and walked out to the living room to set up her phone. A few minutes—and 100 photos later—the duo met Jon and Joseph at a bank nearby, and after Rebecca was finally introduced to Colby's two best friends, they headed off towards the party.

"So are you from Ireland?" Jon asked from the back seat. "You don't sound American with that thick accent."

Rebecca smiled from the passenger seat. "Yep. Dublin actually. You would think after living in America for so long that my accent wouldn't be as noticeable, but you can tell I have one when I say certain things."

Jonathan nodded. "I bet it's real thick when y'all screw-"

"Dude." Joseph said cutting him off, smacking him on the chest.

Colby shook his head as he looked towards Rebecca, who was blushing so hard, her face was red. "Don't pay attention to him." Joseph said clearing his throat. "How's work going? Renee told us you started working at the dentistry."

Rebecca looked up into the mirror so she could see him. "It's been good! I really like it." She then furrowed her eyebrows. "Renee is the blonde receptionist right?"

Jonathan nodded. "Yep. She's my wife."

Rebecca smiled. "I thought she was. How far along is she? I heard her mention she was pregnant..."

"She's almost twenty two weeks." Jonathan smiled. "We're really excited."

Colby smiled from the drivers seat. "We're excited too man. Me and Joe are going to be the best uncles ever."

"You got that right." Joseph said placing an arm around Jonathan.

Rebecca smiled as she checked her phone again. When she saw they were close to the workplace, she patted Colby's leg. "It's on the next right."

Colby nodded then turned, and a few minutes later, they were walking into the building. "I need to use the bathroom." Jonathan said placing his phone in his back pocket.

"Yeah me too." Joseph said. "You two go on up, we'll be up there in a few."

Colby nodded and watched as they walked into the men's bathroom. Him and Rebecca then walked into the elevator and pressed the button of the top floor.

Rebecca looked up at him. "You're friends are really cool."

Colby nodded and grabbed her hand, intertwining their hands together. "Yeah they're pretty great." He then smiled and smirked down at her. "They're kind of my only friends."

Rebecca grinned. "Well sometimes, it's better to have one or two friends than to have ten." She then sighed. "At least that's how it's always been for me."

When the elevator stopped, they both stood up straight. "You ready to rock this party, Harley?"

Rebecca chuckled. "No, Joker. Im ready to burn it down."
