The duo left the party reveal, and decided to go out shopping since they finally knew the gender. Of course, Rebecca was all excited, but Colby, on the other hand, was not. He kept trying to convince her to wait till tomorrow, but Rebecca refused, and said she was ready today."Please Colby?" Rebecca said from the passenger seat. She wrapped her arms around one of his. "We need to be buying stuff so we can plan the nursery."
Colby sighed. "You mean for you to plan the nursery? If I tried anything you would change it." He then shook his head with furrowed eyebrows. "And what's the point of painting a room to get it ready for a baby, when we'll be moving in a few weeks?"
Rebecca shook her head. "I'm not buying paint, Lopez. I just want to buy some clothes and little toys. We've only bought a few things, and the baby will be here before we know it."
Colby turned his head and looked at how serious she was. He hesitatingly sighed. "Fine. Where are we going?"
Rebecca smiled happily. "Target, duh."
Colby pressed his lips together as he drove off. "I had a feeling you were going to say that..."
A little while later the duo arrived at Target, and Rebecca couldn't wait to go in. She hopped out of the seat—by herself this time—and walked to the other side of the car where Colby was slowly getting his wallet. She didn't want to seem impatient, but now that they knew the gender, she couldn't wait to see what boy clothes they were going to get.
"Will you quit procrastinating?" Rebecca asked tilting her head towards him.
Colby looked over his shoulder and smiled. He still couldn't get over how pretty she was—even though they had been together for almost ten months now—and seeing her in a pink maternity dress made his heart jump even more. "I'm just enjoying my view, that's all."
Rebecca sighed with a smile. "Honey...grab you're wallet and let's go."
Colby pushed his wallet in his back pocket and grabbed his keys before shutting the door. He then placed a hand on Rebecca's lower back and followed her inside.
Colby didn't know what all to expect when they went back to the baby clothes, but from looking at the rows of clothes, he knew this wasn't going to be a quick trip—especially when Rebecca found a teddy bear onesie. "Awww, Colby look! This would be adorable on him."
Colby walked over and smiled. "He would be pretty cute." He then glanced at their empty shopping cart. "Do you want to get it?"
Rebecca looked at the cart with a grin. "Why, yes. Yes I do." She placed it in the cart and walked over to another row of clothes. She picked up a few more onesies before moving on to everyday clothes.
Colby looked at all of the clothes in awe, and surprisingly, he helped pick out a few. They were mostly little jerseys—football ones, of course—and cute shoes. "Teaching him young, are we?" Rebecca asked picking up a Chicago bears onesie Colby picked out.
Colby smirked. "Yes ma'am. He's going to love it just as much as his old man."
Rebecca smiled and laid it back in the cart before showing Colby a pair of shoes she picked out. "You like these? They're Nikes."
Colby nodded. "I love 'em."
Rebecca then sighed. "Alright, I think we have enough clothes, for now. Let's go check out the furniture."
Colby pushed the cart around and followed Rebecca towards the baby furniture. He knew they would only get small things from the furniture spot, since they would be getting the majority of the stuff once they moved.
Rebecca stopped in front of some dressers and took a picture of it—so she could order it online later on. She did that to a few more pieces of furniture and moved to another aisle. Colby moved the cart to follow her but stopped quickly when Rebecca stopped moving. "What are you looking at?"
Rebecca slowly turned around with a smile on her face. "Be quiet."
Colby furrowed his eyebrows. "What-"
Rebecca held a hand up as she ran her other one over her abdomen. "I felt him kick..."
Colby straightened up and walked around towards her. "Wait really?"
Rebecca nodded and hoped she could feel another one. "At least I thought I did, he's not doing it anymore."
She waited a few more seconds, hoping for the smallest movement. "What if he was trying to get you to hurry up?
Rebecca tilted her head and pressed her lips together as she looked at him. She then felt him kick again. "Say something else."
Colby then smirked and bent down towards her stomach. "What are you trying to tell us little guy?"
Rebecca then smiled. "He did it again!" She said whispering loudly. "Here give me your hand and talk again."
Colby straightened up and let her guide his hand along her stomach. "Can you kick again buddy? Me and your mommy want to feel—"
Colby was cut off by a kick and he looked down at Rebecca with a smile. "Holy cow." He then felt it again, and his eyebrows rose. "Does that hurt?"
Rebecca shook her head with a smile. "It's comforting really. It lets me know he's okay."
The duo stood there feeling him kick for a few more seconds, but then ended up having to move out of the way for another couple. "Sorry!" Rebecca muttered as she moved beside of Colby.
Colby and Rebecca then just stared at each other in shock. "Our baby is in there...". Colby said with his eyebrows raised and a smile on his face.
Rebecca laughed at their giddiness and pointed towards her bump. "Our baby is in here!"
