Chapter 44

Rebecca couldn't believe that Colby had found an offer on the house. When she first looked at it online, she had fell in love, but once she saw the price she started looking for more options and forgot all about it. Luckily for her though, the love of her life noticed how much she loved it, and made a deal with the real estate agent.

Once the duo was done hugging and soaking it all in, Colby grabbed Rebecca's hand and started walking up the driveway towards the house. They walked up the white steps, and Rebecca ran a hand along the railing with a smile. Once they were on the porch, Rebecca looked around at the furniture. "We get to keep the porch furniture, right?"

Colby smiled. "Yes, I made sure."

Rebecca clapped happily and walked up to the door. "Can we go in?"

Colby smiled and walked up beside of her with the keys. "Yes, love." He then placed the keys inside and opened it up.

The duo looked ahead of them with huge smiles. Rebecca stepped inside and stood in the middle of the open hallway. "Holy...crap." She then did a 360. "It's even bigger in person."

Colby nodded and placed the keys on a key holder beside of the door. "Yeah I know. When the agent showed it to me I was amazed. It's a beautiful home..."

Rebecca then looked to her right and noticed a big walk-in laundry room. "Oh it's so much bigger than the one at the apartment..."

Colby glanced inside with his one and only confident smile. "Come over to this side." He said motioning for her to follow him to the left side of the hallway.

He opened up the door and it revealed a big play room.  "Oh, my god." Rebecca said doing a happy dance. "I've only seen two rooms and I already love it!"

Colby then led them down the hallway, where to the right, stood the staircase to the second floor. He then led them into the open living room and kitchen.

Rebecca's face lit up even more as she looked around. She walked over and ran a hand over the grey couches and gazed down at the big fluffy rug. "This came with it?"

Colby nodded. "Yeah. The guy said that any of the furniture that was on the property was from the previous owners, so he just left them here for us to deal with".  He then walked over to where Rebecca was. "I think we should just keep it...it's bigger than the couch we have right now. We can just get someone to clean it."

Rebecca nodded and walked into the big kitchen, that included a dining room on the left and a walk in pantry on the right. "This is my dream kitchen..." Rebecca said rubbing a hand over her abdomen. "I can't wait to cook something!"

Colby laughed and pointed towards the outside. "You wanna see the backyard?"

Rebecca nodded and followed Colby out the back door. He led them to the in-ground pool, making Rebecca gasp. "We have an underground pool?! That wasn't listed online!"

"Yep. Apparently they didn't want the pool shown because they hadn't cleaned it. But as you can see, it's sparkling clean." He said with a wink.

After a few moments of just admiring the pool, Colby showed Rebecca the pantry, and a guest bathroom that was also downstairs. He then led them up to the second level, and into another room. "I thought about making this an office? Just a place for me and you to wind down and do whatever we need to do on a computer."

Rebecca nodded and smiled. "That's a good idea!" She then got an idea. "Could I put some of my books in here to make a small library?"

Colby shrugged. "Sounds fun to me." He then walked around the room. "We could put a desk on this wall and put the bookshelf on this one if you'd like..."

Rebecca nodded. "Sounds perfect!"

Colby then led her to their master bedroom, where she smiled in awe at the view. "Colby Daniel!" She said walking further in the room. "This is even prettier in person!"

Colby gained a boost of confidence, and smiled. "I knew you'd like it." He then walked up and wrapped his arms around her waist, pressing her bump against his stomach. "We're gonna make this the perfect home..." He leaned down and connected their lips. "Me and you..." Then he bent down and kissed her belly. "And our little boy."
