The next morning Rebecca woke up and smiled as she saw the light peeking through her blinds. She rolled over, planning on draping her arms around Colby's chest, but he wasn't there. She squinted her eyes and sat up rubbing her hair out of her face. She looked over to her right to see her bathroom door slightly open. When she saw Colby open it up and walk out with his hair pulled back and his clothes back on, she grew curious. "Hey."
Colby stopped and turned around smiling down at her. "Hey, beautiful." He then laid down on the bed facing her, before pressing a kiss to her forehead. "What did you dream about last night?"
Rebecca laughed. "I had a dream that you invited me to your parents house for dinner, and you showed me your childhood bedroom where we then screwed on your cute bed before we ate pie, then we went back to my room where we made out before going to sleep."
Colby nodded slowly, pressing his lips together. "Yeah, I don't think that was a dream."
Rebecca shrugged cuddling up closer to him. "To me it was."
Colby laughed and wrapped his arm around her. "That was smooth."
Rebecca then scanned his body, her brain going back to him having his clothes on. "Where are you going?"
Colby then sighed. "I have to go into work..."
Rebecca then sat up straight looking back at her clock. "Oh my god. Colby I forgot all about your job. You need to go!"
Colby then laughed again and cupped her cheeks pulling her in for a kiss. "Relax Quinn, I'm the dentist remember?"
Rebecca then blushed. "Oh yeah, I forgot about that..."
Colby then stood up and bent down to pick up his shoes. "Uhm, I hope you know, you can always come in for an interview."
Rebecca smiled. "I appreciate that. I might take you up on that offer once I get settled..."
Colby nodded as he tied his second shoe. "Yeah I understand." He then stood up and grabbed his phone. "Call me if you need anything. I get off work at 5."
Rebecca nodded and leaned up and kissed him. "Alright. You have a good day..."
Colby smiled. "You too, Becks."
Rebecca then watched as Colby left the room. She sighed and looked around, wondering about what had happened in the past few days, and what was going to happen with Colby in the future.
. . . . . .
Almost an hour later—after Rebecca got up and got ready for the day—she went out into the living room of their apartment and saw the girls sitting on the couch. Once they heard her, all eyes were on Rebecca. "Hey there, Becks." Mercedes said smirking.
Rebecca blushed and walked towards one of the couches before sitting down. "So..." Ashley said taking a sip from her wine. "Over Luke?"
Rebecca inhaled as she looked around at the girls to see the looks plastered on their faces. "Yeah. Look I'm sorry-"
"You could have at least told us it wasn't just a one nighter." Pam said kind of embarrassed. "When we saw you leave with him at the bar, we thought you guys would just screw and never see each other again."
Mercedes nodded. "Yeah...clearly not though."
Rebecca sighed and nodded. "Yeah I'm sorry for not letting you all know, it's just...happened so fast. I've not even had time to process it all."
The girls smiled at her. "Becks, we're happy you're happy ok?" Ashley said giving her friend a reassuring smirk. "Next time though, don't let me find out who you've been hooking up with by barging into your room."
All of them laughed making Rebecca blush even more. "Yeah sorry about that."
Pam then looked up at Rebecca from the floor beside of her. "Tell us about him!"
Rebecca grinned and told them all about the last two days they've spent together. Now that she was saying it all out loud, it sounded like a dream, and like it was happening way too fast, but she has never felt this way about anyone, ever, and she didn't want to let that go.
"So, he invited you to his house and then y'all screwed in his bedroom? On a teenager's bed, with a star wars comforter? And with his parents upstairs?" Mercedes asked. When Rebecca pressed her lips together and nodded, Ashley and Mercedes burst out laughing. "Gosh Becky, you're down bad."
"We both are! He's got an amazing personality, and he's sweet and funny, and he's-"
"Hot?" Pam said finishing the sentence for her. "We've all seen him." Pam then smiled at Rebecca. "But I think his girlfriend is hotter, just saying."
Rebecca laughed. Girlfriend. Colby's girlfriend, she thought to herself. "I'm glad you guys approve."
"We just need to formally meet him. That way we know if he's good enough for you." Ashley said. "But from hearing all the stuff you've told us, he sounds like a really nice guy."
He's the best guy. Rebecca then stood and extended her arms around wide. "I think this calls for a group hug."
Pam gasped and stood so quickly, Rebecca thought she was going to knock her over. "Yes! I love our group hugs!"
As the girls hugged, Rebecca couldn't get over how many people she had in her life. Now that Luke was out of her hair, she was finally able to realize that not everyone needs a partner in life when you have the best group of friends. But, thankfully, Rebecca had both of those option's, because not only does she have her best friends, she may have found her soulmate, making Rebecca feel like the happiest—and luckiest—woman alive.
