Chapter 22

The girls froze and all four of them just stared at the test in Rebecca's hand. Ashley's mouth dropped, and she turned around towards Mercedes to see if they were seeing the same thing. "Maybe...maybe it's just messed up." Ashley then grabbed another one from the box and handed it to Rebecca. "Here, take another one."

Rebecca frantically opened up the box while the others went towards her bed to sit down. "Do you think she's just joking with us? Ya know, just to keep her money..." Mercedes said nervously.

Ashley shook her head. "No not Becks, she wouldn't joke about something like that."

The girls sat there for almost five minutes before Rebecca walked back out with tears streaming down her face. "These say the same thing!" She then threw four other tests on the bed. "They all say pregnant."

Mercedes and Pamela picked them up and looked at them while Ashley stood up to wrap her arms around Rebecca. "Oh my god..." Mercedes said looking up at Pamela to see what her expression was.

Pamela put a smile on her face and looked up at Rebecca. "It's going to be okay Becks..." She then gave her a hug. "I mean look around you, you're not going through this alone, you have us and Colby."

Rebecca then teared up even more. "How am I supposed to tell Colby?!" She then moved out of Pamela's arms and went to pick up the pregnancy tests from the bed. "He will freak out!" She then laid them on the counter of the bathroom before rubbing a hand through her hair. "He will absolutely freak out."

Ashley looked at the other two girls with a sad smile. "Do you need a minute?"

Rebecca shook her head. "No, please. I don't want to be alone right now..."

The girls nodded and moved to where Rebecca was sitting to wrap their arms around her, trying to give the best support they could.

Rebecca curled up on the bed hugging August, wiping the last of her tears every few minutes. She was scared, nervous, and somewhat shocked that this was happening. She knew it was a possibility, but she kept ignoring the voice in her head telling her the truth all along.

After she had calmed down, she texted Colby and told him to come to the apartment. She didn't say why, or that they needed to talk, so Colby was more than likely going to show up thinking it's a movie night.

When the doorbell rang, Mercedes, Pamela, and Ashley all looked at each other with a sad smile on the couch. They knew what was about to happen. They watched Rebecca slowly come out of her room wiping her face, and she put on a big smile as she walked towards the door.

Rebecca opened it up and smiled at him. "Hey..."

Colby smiled and came in shutting the door behind him. "Hey. I thought you all were having a girls night?" He said looking towards the girls. Mercedes pressed her lips together and pointed her head towards her room, making the other three get up and follow her.

Colby furrowed his eyebrows and looked towards Rebecca. "Alright...is it just me or are they acting weird?" Rebecca shook her head and sighed. "So you're acting weird too huh?" When Rebecca crossed her arms together he scratched the back of his head. "Wait...did I do something wrong?"

Rebecca shook her head and moved into the kitchen to clean up some of the mess they had made during their game. "It's not you, Colby."

Colby then turned around and watched her clean silently. She put the pop and other liquids the girls had gotten out to put back in the fridge. He just stood there waiting for her to continue, but she never did.

Once she was finished she crossed her arms again and looked down at the floor. "Rebecca, what's going on?" He walked towards her and wrapped his arms around her. "You know you can tell me anything..."

Rebecca then looked up at him holding back tears. "Can we go sit on the couch?"

Colby nodded and followed her there, resting a hand on her knee once she sat down. Rebecca then took a deep breath and pulled out the positive tests from the coffee table drawer. She felt Colby tense up before she looked at him. "Uhm...I really don't know how to tell you this, but...I'm pregnant."

Rebecca laid the tests on the table and sat back, wiping a tear away. Colby leaned up and examined all six of the tests with a shocked expression. It was silent for a few moments, and Rebecca just got more nervous as time went on.

When Colby got done he looked over at her with a sympathetic smile. "Are you okay?"

Rebecca just shrugged. "I don't know..."

Colby then leaned over and wrapped his arms around her giving her a hug. Rebecca just let her tears fall as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "It's going to be okay..." he whispered in her ear. "It's going to be okay."
