After a long, frustrating, day at work, Colby and Rebecca decided to go out for dinner. Not even changing out of their scrubs, they made a reservation at an Italian restaurant to eat. The place was nice inside, and they both felt odd being in there with scrubs on. But after the day they had, they didn't care.

"I'm starving." Colby said as they sat down at a table. "I can't imagine how hungry you are. You didn't take a lunch break."

Rebecca sighed. "I did, actually. Just not at the same time as everyone else..."

Colby hesitated as he picked up a menu. "Becks, you have to at least talk to your co-workers if you want to make friends with them."

Rebecca rolled her eyes and scoffed. "Yeah, sure."

Colby furrowed his eyebrows and looked down at his menu. He didn't mean to make Rebecca upset, so he thought it would be best to change the topic. Thankfully the waiter came and took their order a few seconds later. "Are you excited about moving in with me?"

Rebecca looked up from her glass of water. She smiled and nodded. "I am, actually. I love living with the girls, but I always feel like I'm intruding with having you there all the time."

"Yeah I felt the same way." He said taking a deep breath. "It's smaller than theirs, of course, but it's perfect for us." He then pulled out his phone with a smile. "I actually thought we could go look for a house soon...I figured once we had the baby we would need a bigger place—"

Rebecca cut him off and placed a hand on his. "Colby." She gave him a warm smile. "Honey, we can look for a house once we save enough money. I don't want you to rush and try to find one right now..."

Colby shook his head. "I'm not trying to rush and find one. I'm wanting us to go looking for our future home..."

Rebecca smiled. "I haven't thought that far ahead yet." She then hesitated. "We don't even know if we're going to end up together ya know? Something could happen and we could get driven apart and then what? We did all of that—"

"Rebecca, we're not going to break up." Colby said laughing. "We both know that."

Rebecca sighed. "I know...I was just using that as an example—"

Colby smiled. "I know. And it's smart to think that way, but I feel like since we're going to spend the rest of our lives together, we might as well buy our first home."

Rebecca then pressed her lips together and smiled. She hadn't thought any further about their future except for the fact that they were going to be parents. She was starting to feel like Colby was rushing things. "We can go one weekend and look..." Rebecca said sympathetically.

Colby nodded and smiled. "We also need to talk to my parents..."

Rebecca sighed and nodded. "Yeah, we do. Do you want to go over there for dinner one day this week?"

Colby furrowed his eyebrows. "We can...I'll have to call mom and ask if they're busy."

Rebecca nodded and looked down. "What if...uhm—what's going to happen if they're not okay with this?"

Colby furrowed his eyebrows and crossed his arms over his chest. "What do you mean?"

"I meant, what if they get mad at you about this? Because I know they're not going to be happy." Rebecca sighed. "And you know they'll blame me for this. They're not very fond of me, and they certainly won't be after we tell them I'm pregnant."

Colby had to shut his eyes. He knew she was right, but he was hoping that she had more confidence than he had in this moment, but for the first time in forever, he had none—and neither did she.

Luckily the food came, and their conversation was put to rest. They didn't talk for another five minutes and they just sat there cramming their mouths full. When the two were finally done eating though, Colby brought up work again. "Tell me what time you take lunch tomorrow and I'll take mine with you."

Rebecca swallowed her last bit of food. "Why? Do you feel sorry for me because i eat alone?"

Colby stopped and shook his head. "What? You're my girlfriend Rebecca—"

"That's why I eat by myself." Rebecca didn't know why she was getting so upset, but she couldn't hold it in anymore. "Everyone there hates me except for Renee, because they think I screwed you into getting the job. I heard them today... talking about me."

Colby squared his jaw and took a deep breath. He then grabbed his cup to take a drink of his water. "What do you mean?"

Rebecca sighed. "It's honestly nothing, but I guess my hormones are just making it a bigger deal than what it has to be." She then shook her head. "I heard Rosie and Melody talking about me today. They said I was annoying and that the only reason I worked there was because of me being you're girlfriend."

Colby looked at her and realized how hurt she really was. "What else did they say?" He said reaching across the table and grabbing her hand.

Rebecca shut her eyes. "Well they hate me so much, that they wish that I would get hit by a car and never be seen again."

Colby tensed up and shook his head. He pulled his hand back and pulled out his wallet. Rebecca just sat there, embarrassed at herself for being a big baby about it all.

Once Colby put the money down he stood up and reached out for Rebecca's hand. "Come on, love."

Rebecca took his hand and grabbed her purse with the other one before standing up and following him out the door. She didn't want to stay silent forever, because she knew he was mad. "I'm sorry, Colby. I shouldn't have even—"

She stopped when he turned  her around to face him. He then pulled her in for a hug. "There's nothing for you to be sorry for, babe. I'm sorry you had to hear that.

Rebecca shrugged. "I mean, it hurt my feelings but I didn't see it that way..." She then sighed. "I kind of thought I was just being dramatic."

Colby shook his head and pulled back. "I'm going to talk with them tomorrow. You won't have to deal with them again, I promise." He then kissed her. "Now let's go back to your apartment before i do something I'll regret."
