Chapter 45:

• Eden's POV •

As my eyelids fluttered open, I immediately reached for Jordan. Except he wasn't there. I sat up and looked around, squinting from the bright light pouring in from my window. Last time he was just going to the bathroom. I calmly stood up.

"Jordan?" I called. I walked over to my door and as I was placing my hand on the knob, it opened for me. Jordan's smiling face met me. I glanced at the clock and it was only 8.

"Good morning, beautiful" he said, giving me a kiss.

"How long have you been up?" I asked with a yawn.

"A few hours. It's okay, I have a surprise for you" he said. He grabbed my hand and pulled me towards my living room. He stopped suddenly, turning around to face me. "Close your eyes" he said excitedly. I giggled as I closed my eyes.

"I don't know if I'm a fan of surprises" I said. He laughed as he pulled me forward.

"No peeking" he said quietly. He stopped and I could tell he was smiling. "Open" he said. I did as I was told and I smiled. There was a small pink basket sitting on the coffee table. It had tons of chocolates stuffed in it as well as a cute little stuffed bunny. I looked over at Jordan who was smiling proudly. "Happy Easter" he said. I wrapped my arms around him and hugged him.

"You're the sweetest person I've ever met" I said into his chest. He kissed the top of my head.

"That's not all" he said. I looked up at him and matched his smile. "There are little eggs hidden all over your house" he said. "Go look, I'll be in your room" he said. He walked away and I started to look. I grabbed a bag from the kitchen and started throwing them all in it. Once I thoroughly looked, I walked into my bedroom. Jordan looked over at me, still smiling.

"I think I got them all" I said.

"Open them" he said. I sat down on my bed and grabbed an egg from the bag. I opened it and a small piece of paper fell out. I gave Jordan a confused look but all he did was smile at me. I grabbed the paper and looked at it.

Your smile brightens my entire day it said which made me smile.

"I wrote a reason why I love you on each piece of paper" he said. I was speechless. There were quite a few eggs in my bag. I pulled out another one.

I love when you call me a dork it said. I was almost in tears. I looked over at him and he pulled me close.

"This is actually the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me" I said into him. He continued lightly rubbing his fingers on my back.

"I want you to know how much I love you. I don't want you to feel sad" he said. A few tears fell from my eyes and landed on Jordan's shirt.

"I love you so much" I said, looking up at him. I don't think I've meant anything more in my entire life.
