Chapter Twenty-Eight: Late Night Attack

"Hey Y/N I just wanna know something."

You look up to see Yuji stroking his chin, looking deep in thought. Oh wait no, he's just mimicking what people do when they stroke their chins dramatically. 

"Ask away Yuji," you said, sitting beside him. 

The two of you are let's say stuck at the school because the higher ups doesn't trust either of you to try to save the world. They still blame you for all that's happening and some old geezer is convinced that killing you will stop the tears and other realities potentially coming here to kill you all. 

And because you're now known as Sukuna's bride they're worried you're working with Sukuna to basically end the world. 

So while everyone out there is risking their lives to seal these tears, you two are stuck here. 

"Should I try drugs before I die?" he asked.

You blink as you look at him and turn back to your phone.

"No."

"Oh come on, what about alcohol?"

"Honestly alcohol is at least safer than drugs, but no." 

"Ugh but this could be my last shot!" Yuji groans loudly and slides his body off the bed and onto you. His head rests in your lap and your free hand rests on his head. "Yuji you're going to live until you turn 121 years old, you'll have plenty of time to drink or do drugs. Though I wouldn't recommend it, next thing you know you're eating someone's face if you're hyped on drugs."

"Drugs make you do that?!"

You look down at him with a 'for-real?!' expression. "Yuji you're asking me if you can do drugs when you don't even know how dangerous they can be?!" you asked, taken aback. "I thought you just lose your shit, not eat someone's face!" he screams, shocked.

"Don't forget you could lose your teeth and your gums will be nonexistent," you added, looking back on your phone.

Yuji grunts and crosses his arms against his chest as you run your fingers through his hair. "Nooo I need my teeth, how will I eat if I have no teeth." You snort and continue to play with his soft hair. You rub, gently tug, twirled his hair between your fingers and his eyes would flutter close, feeling like he's in heaven.

You scroll aimlessly through your social media, Youtube, fanfictions, nothing catching your attention. You just put your phone down and look at the ceiling bored.  You feel Yuji grab your hand and pull it away from his hair. 

"Hey what happened to your hand?"

You look down to see that he's examining your palm. There was little skinned marks and cuts as he traces his finger against them, gently. "Oh that, I was reaching for something and I skinned myself on something," you explain.
