Fresh fear and blood lingered behind them where they had barely pulled two kids out of Boyd's path, as he tried to kill them. Scott pulled out his phone as he calls Derek.
"𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒍𝒐𝒔𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎?" Derek asked, making Scott glance at Harlow.
"Yeah, we kind of had to." Scott said. Harlow could hear Derek sigh over the phone.
"𝑾𝒂𝒔𝒏'𝒕 𝒆𝒙𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒍𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒏..." Derek said, making Scott look down as he sighed.
"I know, which is why I think that we should stick together. Trust me- he's too strong, too fast, and way too angry for only one people to handle. We've got to do this together." Scott said, making Harlow nod at what the boy was saying.

He looked at Harlow as she held the little boy in her arms, as his cheek rested on Harlow's shoulder and his arms around her neck as she held a tight grip under his knees, before he looked down to the older girl that gripped her hands around Scott's arm, making the two teens look at each other.
