Pasko na, Sinta ko (It's Christmas, my Love)
Within one year, there were so many holidays being celebrated from all around the world. People valued these yearly events, especially those who were closely attached to their cultures and traditions. In this case, December had become known to be the month of giving. The month when people gather around and exchange gifts in a certain date.
The holidays were always spent with family or the ones a person dearly loves. It's what made it special.
For a militaristic organization, it was considered relatively surprising that VALORANT was giving the members of the Protocol the choice to either stay in headquarters for the rest of the upcoming Christmas and New Year, or go back to their home countries and spend the special occasions with their family and friends. Despite the opportunity being quite unexpected, nobody, not even KAY/O, had anything to say about it but their acceptance in the little vacation it offered them.
Jett eagerly accompanied Phoenix back to the UK, wanting to not only spend the holidays with her boyfriend, but to ultimately meet his family as well. They also mentioned that they already had tickets to fly to Korea as well to celebrate New Year in Jettʼs hometown.
Yoru wasn't all too eager for the yearly event, but he was nonetheless more than happy to celebrate it with Skye by his side. He agreed to head to Australia with her with the promise to also bring her to Japan someday, especially when the ginger-haired agent made a comment about how she always wanted to attend a festival there.
As for Reyna and Sage, the former offered the healer if she wished to celebrate Christmas with her and the children under her watch and care at Mexico. Sage happily agreed, but not before she half-heartedly set a condition that she would only do so if Reyna could say the same when it comes to celebrating Lunar New Year. Of course, the vixen-like woman was utterly delighted to accept the return invitation.
Astra had her mind set to going back to Ghana alone, so when Chamber asked if he could possibly provide her company for the holidays, the astral walker was somewhat caught off-guard. So off-guard that she agreed to let him come before she realized what she did afterwards. By the time she thought about retracting what she said, Chamber was already packed and had told her about how they would be taking his private jet, which Astra didn't even know, nor was she surprised that he owned one in the first place.
With Harbor's heat with REALM in India still somewhat blazing, he was beginning to contemplate on staying back. That was before Sova asked him if he wanted to accompany him and Omen to Russia. Surprisingly, the archer's grandmother was aware of Omen and was even the one who insisted for her grandson to invite the mysterious agent and for others who didn't wish to spend the merry holidays alone.
Both Raze and Breach ended up flying to Brazil together, mainly because the explosive duelist was more than happy to introduce all her friends and family to the person that helped her make the ammo for her rocket launcher more explosive. Initially, it was supposed to be the two of them and Killjoy, but the engineer seemed to have different plans.
With Brimstone being Killjoyʼs guardian slash father-figure, the techie initially intended on staying at headquarters, mainly because the old man didn't have any plans on flying out for the holidays. But, after being told that he, KAY/O and Cypher would hold fort while everyone's away, Killjoy received an invitation from their resident scientist.
Viper merely had plans in taking a break from lab work completely and indulging in some of her other hobbies while she's back at her penthouse in the US, but only because Brimstone insisted that she shouldn't be working. This resulted in her extending an invite to Killjoy, not only because Brimstone subtly nudged her to do so, but also because she figured Christmas would be more 'bearable' if she had company that she secretly favoured.
