Recombinant 008
Pairings: Viper x Killjoy / Reyna x Sage / Fade x Neon

Steady heartbeats filled the earpieces of the stethoscope, quelling any concerns the healer had when it comes to her daughter's health. Ever since she enlisted Viper's help when it came to the children's well-being, Sage began fostering worries towards the possibility of having possible complications.

The little ones they've come to irrevocably love and care about were made from experimental procedures that were highly likely illegal and presumed dangerous, if not all. Sage was afraid that one, two, maybe more problems could arise with their health eventually.

Science, so far, didn't lie, though. The genetic integrity of both children are impressively strong and showed no vulnerabilities whatsoever. Luthor was as healthy as a child his age should be, and Yu Zyn was pretty much on the same boat. The young girl underwent longer check-ups due to her status as a Radiant. She was capable of things they've yet to narrow down and figure out, so Sage kept a close eye on her daughter as much as she could manage.

While Luthor started coming out of his shell and was adapting his mutti's sunshine personality, Yu Zyn was only hyper whenever she's around her friend. But, when she's with her parents or the other agents without the company of Luthor, she was more reserved and mostly spoke only when she was spoken to.

"Am I okay, Māma?"

An earnest smile shaped Sageʼs lips as she pulled the stethoscope away and slung it around her neck again. "Strong and perfect, bǎobǎo."

Sage wasn't lying. Yu Zyn was amazingly healthy and her immune system, based on Viper's last check-up on her, was much stronger and more preeminent than a normal Radiant's. There was no one and nothing to thank for such thing but Yu Zyn's heart. It was similar to Reynaʼs, but rather than relying on soul essence to heal her wounds or any possible ailments, Sageʼs Radiant genetics came in play and made sure no illness or any sort of laceration, shallow or deep, would remain.

Yu Zyn had a self-healing heart, and knowing she had something so extraordinary relieved Sage. She wouldn't hesitate to heal her daughter if she needed it, but it brought her a huge sense of comfort to know that the little one wouldn't be hurt for too long if any unfortunate incidents were to happen.

The girl giggled quietly at the endearment, always feeling giddy whenever Sage called her that. Though sometimes the healer would call her the same name she used when it came to Reyna, which was bǎobèi, Yu Zyn preferred the cuter version. It made her feel like she was a mini-version of Reyna, who she truly looked up to.

"Tan fuerte como mami?" (As strong as mom?) Yu Zyn asked, picking up the crocheted Reyna doll beside her. Like Luthor, Yu Zyn was also gifted crocheted versions of her parents done by Omen himself. But, while Luthor always brought the doll replicas of his parents practically all the time, Yu Zyn would only bring whichever parent that wouldn't be with her most of the day. Since Reynaʼs been awfully busy with field work, her little toy self was the one the mostly made its place in Yu Zynʼs arms.

Sage stopped mid-speech, eyes shortly wandering as she remembered the private studies she's been doing by herself concerning the Spanish language. She also recalled all the times Reyna tried teaching her the mentioned language. After the brief pause and ultimately understanding what the girl asked, she nodded and said, "Yes. Maybe even stronger."

Yu Zyn hugged her Reyna toy against her chest, smiling behind its head as she said, "You're being silly again, māma."

Chuckling, Sage gathered her daughter in her arms and started peppering her cheeks with kisses. The little girl started letting out giggles and a few squeals, feebly pushing the healer away to stop the rain of affection.
