"No, you gotta multiply that." Jude explained calmly, pointing at the equation we had been working on for the past twenty minutes. We were sitting across each other on the floor in the middle of my room, a variation of sheets spread all around us.
Luz was sleeping in his lap, something I wished I could do right now. I still couldn't believe we actually went through with this whole studying thing.
I sighed frustratedly, running a hand through my hair. A quick glance at the clock on my nightstand told me that it was now quarter past eight. We've been sitting here for about two hours now.
Jude had noticed my attention fading, because he started gathering the stuff he could reach from his position. "Maybe you've had enough today." He suggested with a grin, making me agree with a nod before getting up to help him clear the floor of the sheets and putting them back into their folder.
I noticed my lips being dry again, it was honestly tiring to keep up with in winter. I reached for the Vaseline on my desk, opening the small pot just for me to notice that I had in fact ran out.
I groaned in frustration, searching through some drawers in hope to maybe find a spare one.
"What are you doing?" I heard Jude ask from behind me, making me turn around because I didn't find anything anyways.
"I ran out of Vaseline." I complained, him laughing at me making me furrow my brows even more.
"It's not funny." I stated seriously, crossing my arms in front of my chest as I leaned against my desk.
"A little bit." He teased, using his thumb and pointer as a gesture. When he noticed that I was still sulking, he gently grabbed Luz to place him onto the bed to free himself so that he was able to get up.
My eyes followed his every move, until I eventually had to tilt my head backwards to be able to look up at him standing directly in front of me.
"You wanna go get some? The stores aren't closing until nine." He offered, watching as I toyed with the string of his navy zip up hoodie.
I nodded lightly, "there's a grocery store about ten minutes away."
"We could take my car, it's faster." He suggested, but I shook my head. I wanted to walk, I liked walking when it was already dark outside; the streets being almost empty by now in this part of the city.
We threw on our coats, which i pointed out to be matching since we were both wearing a black north face puffer. It was cold tonight, even though we were heading towards March by now.
We arrived as quickly as I had predicted, Jude pulling up his hood before walking into the grocery store. There wasn't a lot of people in here, mostly some groups of teenagers our age or younger that bought alcohol; a typical Saturday evening.
I did notice some stares, but I didn't consider it as unusual considering that Germans like to stare a lot.
"Maybe I should get a new pudding for Tiago, I ate his." I though out loud when passing the fridges with a variation of yogurts and puddings and such.
"Is he home?" Jude asked from next to me. I had told him about my family before, but I just noticed now that he had never met one of them.
"Yeah," I started, bringing my eyes from the fridge to him, "I could introduce you to him, if you want to."
"Sure." He shrugged as I picked out Tiago's favorite. "He's my age, right?" He asked, making me hum in approval as I made him hold the pudding for me.
"You'll like him, you're very similar actually." I told him as we headed for the toiletries.
