"You sure it's that one?" I asked Khai a bit skeptical, pointing at the hotel complex on the map on her phone screen.
"Well, that's where you're heading." She shrugged before scrolling a bit further upwards, her pointer coming to a halt over another training ground that was located way outside of Doha. "This is where I'll go."
"But I wanna come." I commented, reminding her that I wasn't English; therefore I was actually interested in going to see my own national team.
"I don't know if you can. Karim only informed them about me." She looked at me sympathetically, but I dismissed the topic with a wave of my hand.
"I was only joking. I'm sick of his ass anyways." I joked and got up to walk over to the glass door that led to the spacious balcony.
Since my room was on the 15th floor, I had a great view over Doha. The capital's lights were a thousand times brighter than those at home.
"I've missed Jamal though." I mumbled, making Khai side eye me.
She still thinks it's weird that I'd be friends with a Bayern player. As if they were some kind of brutes.
But it was true that he was an exception. Because I still couldn't stand the club.
"Right." She closed her phone, stuffing it into the pocket of her grey sweats. "I think I'll dip."
"Yes, please." I let out a faked sigh of relief. We had been hanging around in my room ever since we arrived at the hotel, which now was about an hour ago.
We flew overnight; which was the most chill thing we could've ever chose to do. I slept throughout the whole flight, but I was still planning on sleeping those six hours until I had to leave to head to the hotel ground Khai just showed me.
It was where Jude was training for the match against Iran on Saturday.
Him and the whole England team.

My anxiety shot through the roof when I got out of the taxi after having payed an ridiculously cheap price for that distance.
Although this hotel wasn't as far away as the one the German team was occupying, it was still in the further south of the city.
I glanced down at the text conversation I had with Jude, anticipating the answer that I hoped would tell me where the fuck I was supposed to go.

wait a minI bit back a smile as I walked up the few stairs that led to the entrance of the lobby. He said I could just walk in, so that's what I did.
My eyes still glued to my phone screen, I didn't notice that another person was also trying to get through the very same door - causing me to hit into that someone's chest with a grunt.
