The stadium started to empty when we were finally on our way onto the pitch. They had just now granted us entry, since the press had now been done with interviews. There were only a few people with cameras around, still.
There was staff everywhere, ushering people around in the tunnels and on the half-empty pitch, only some players being left occupying it with their families.
I saw Jude fooling around with Bukayo and a guy who I assumed to be Trent judging from his jersey.
I had seen him at dinner since he had only sat a few seats from me, but I hadn't actually spoken to him yet.The smile that I still had plastered onto my lips from the outcome of the game faltered slightly when I saw Bree, the physiotherapist from yesterday, standing next to Jude as well.
A little too close for my liking, her arm was constantly brushing against his. I wasn't the jealous type of person; I just didn't like her vibes.
But I also didn't want to be prejudicial towards her. Maybe I just had to get to know her more, there had to be something about her that made them all hang out with her.
Jude's smile lit up when he saw us approaching. I trailed behind his parents along with Jobe, and watched as they hugged him to congratulate him. His mom showered him with praises, while his dad kept patting his back.
He then stepped up to me, making me grin even more — if that was even possible — before getting on my tiptoes to embrace him into a hug as well. His arms found their way around my waist, and I turned my head sideways to nuzzle it into his neck; leaving a small kiss before I pulled back.
"I'm so proud of you." I beamed, dragging out the 'you' while dropping my hands to his to give them a squeeze. "That goal was fantastic."
He looked from my eyes to the ground to hide his smile, "you saw what I did after?"
"Yeah, that was so corny." I laughed, his eyes immediately shooting back up as he furrowed his brows.
"You didn't like it?"
"Don't be stupid," I took a step towards him so that I could wrap my arms around his waist and rest my chin on his chest to look up at him, "you know I loved it."
His body instantly relaxed, and he gave me a quick kiss. I then turned my head sideways so that he could rest his chin on my head. I felt so at peace in this moment, that I almost would've closed my eyes to relish in it.
But, to my annoyance I met eyes with Bree; who was standing a few meters from us — watching us intently.
She stood next to Bukayo and Trent, who were talking to Jobe. Jude's parents stood with them too, to congratulate them as well.
But instead of involving herself in the conversation, she just stood there, arms crossed over her chest while staring back at me.
I gave her a small smile, hoping it wouldn't look too fake or provoking. Although she started getting on my nerves, I didn't want to make enemies while being here. There shouldn't be drama surrounding us when Jude had to completely focus on this tournament.
She smiled back, but it was obvious that it was forced, although I couldn't care less. I wanted to enjoy this moment with my boyfriend and his friends and family.
I was starting to suspect that she maybe had a thing for Jude, though.
@tiana.imani post win snack and Trent
tagged: judebellingham, trentarnold66, philfoden"You deadass cut me out?" Phil complained, before audibly sucking the last few drops of coke out of the cup; making me want to reach forward and slap it out of his hands to stop the annoying noise.
After we had left the stadium, they had wanted to grab some fast food, to 'celebrate' their win. I just tagged along since I wanted to spend as much time with everyone as I could. And I also couldn't say no to some chicken nuggets and fries.
Most of them had really grown onto me, even in such a short time span. They just took me in like I was on the team.
On our walk here, I managed to talk to Trent a bit. Just like with Phil, who I had met after dinner yesterday, we got along pretty easily, the only difference being that we didn't bicker like siblings.
Which strangely was the case when it came to me and Phil, hence the wanting to slap the drink out of his hands.
"Blame it on the app." I shrugged, stealing another fry from Jude, who was also scrolling on his phone as he let out a small chuckle that only I had seemed to hear.
"What?"
"The caption." He mumbled, pointing at my previous instagram post's caption with a smirk.
I knowingly grinned back at him, before reaching out to cup his jaw with one hand to draw him closer to my face and press a chaste kiss on his lips.
"You coming with me tonight?" He quietly mumbled against my lips, a silly smile still on my face from the close proximity. I don't think I'd ever not feel giddy in these intimate moments.
"Hm, I don't know..." I trailed off, diverting my eyes into the sky above to attempt teasing him, although I knew he didn't take my empty threats serious. I'd fold either way.
"Tia, come on." He saw right through me, just as I expected. He knew I wanted him, and he thought I was just wasting time.
My eyes flickered back to his, then to his lips, then back to his eyes again. I patted his thigh twice, and he took that as a cue to leave.
