People can be so many things.

They can be your worst enemy.

Your greatest regret.

The one that got away.

They could be your everything.

That's what I felt, looking at my girlfriend of five months.

We were supposed to be playing an intense game of uno, but I kept getting distracted by her.

Her coily hair was styled in Bantu knots, with her edges swooped, and little gold accents on the two braid that draped the sides of her perfect face.

She had smooth mocha skin, deep dimples that popped out every time she smiled.

Her signature gold hoop earrings, that dangled from her ears, matched the necklace laying on her chest.

Her eyes beamed with joy.

They were brown, with just a splash of cream, and held so much light every time she looked at me.

Her lips were full and glossy.

Bottom lip pink, top lip brown.

She is perfect.

"Uno!" She yelled, throwing down a blue eight.

I had a red eight in my hand, and I'd only have one card left.

Tossing the card down, I yelled Uno, and she squinted her eyes at me.

Either she'll have a red card, an eight, or she'll have to draw.

"You've played a good game baby. Sorry I gotta do it, but UNO OUT!"

Throwing down a draw four, she jumped up from her seat, and started doing her victory dance.

Then she came around the table, and started dancing on me.

Snatching her up, I started tickling her, and kissing on her neck.

Her laugh was uncontrollable, and absolutely cute.

She had one of those laughs that made you laugh, and a smile that could give cloudy days sunshine.

I stopped tickling her, and just admired her up close.

"I love you." I said for the first time.

The look in her eyes softened, and a sweet smiled spread across her face.

She sat up and gently rubbed my cheek with her thumb, and softly pressed her lips against mine, making my heart melt.

"I love you, too."
