Chapter 9

By dawn we were at the city. Though it never glowed, I remember it so clearly. James was looking at me with suspicion and I couldn't blame him.
When we reached the gate, we were stopped by guards.
"No one is permitted inside the city. It's full of zombies."
That was what I kinda figured.
"But, if we let you in, we have to have one can of food."
I took out a can of tuna and gave it to the guards.
James looked at me in shock. I glared and he backed off.
We entered through the gate and zombies were generally everywhere. Martian whined, but the zombies left him alone. And we shot the others.
We ran quickly through the streets and into a market place. There was bodies everywhere.
"Uh. This is something" said Katilia, holding up a knife covered in Crimson blood.
"That is sure something."
I looked around the shop and saw blood. There was meat on the floor, bodies where food would normally be.
'There was something wrong here', I thought.
