Yukari's POV
After what transpired in Ba Sing Se, we traveled southward and stopped in an open field to stretch our legs a bit. Zenji was resting with Nian-Nian on the shore, while Korra, accompanied by Chief Beifong, Bolin and myself was playing fetch with Naga. Using airbending she positioned the ball, then launches it into the air, Naga followed trying to catch the ball. I glanced at the chief who had her usual annoyed expression.
"While you're playing fetch, four of the most dangerous criminals are hunting you down. Not only endangering your safety, but the safety of both Yukari and Zenji. We should get moving." Chief Beifong said, crossing her arms.
I rolled my eyes, "I understand that you want to protect us and all, but no one knows where we are right now except us."
"Yukari's right. Besides, we just got here." Korra said, as Naga returns with the ball in her mouth and drops it at the feet of the chief, "I think she wants you to throw it for her."
Chief Beifong glances at the ball, covered in Naga's drool and cringes. "I'll pass, thanks."
"We just got a call from the radio about other airbenders." Asami said excitedly, as she approached us along with Mako by her side.
"Finally! Where are they?" Korra asked.
"A city called Zaofu, the home of the Metal Clan." Mako answered.
"You know the place?" I asked.
"Uhh ... Never been there." the chief said uneasily, "But I don't want you going there. I'd rest a lot easier if you were back at Republic City."
"Sorry, if there airbenders in Zaofu, then that's where we are going next." Korra said as she made her way towards the airship.
We boarded the airship and set a course for Zaofu. After a few short minutes, the skyline of the city could be seen. Zaofu looked liked what Republic City should've been, if President Raiko wasn't so power-hungry, Republic City would've been ten times more efficient. The sun gleamed on it's skyline as the whole city is made of metal.
"Wow! Wow! Wow! An entire city made of metal!" Bolin turns to the chief who was sitting along with Asahi near a window, "You should feel right at home, Beifong."
Korra pouts at Chief Beifong's behavior and glances at me who shares a slight concerned look.
But I was more concerned about Asahi, his face looked paler than usual. I wanted to ask if he wasn't feeling well, but I shook away the thought. The airship descends to the city air docks, metalbenders uses and bends a string of cable out of the crane and it loops itself around a hook under the airship to connect the metal cable to the airship. Two other metalbenders subsequently bend and build an intricate stairway for the airship's passengers. Bolin, Zenji, and Mako were the first to leave, Asami then stops and turns towards the chief and my uncle, "Aren't you coming?"
"What's there to see? It's metal. Big whoop. Just find the airbender and let's get moving. Don't tell anyone I'm here." the chief said sternly.
"Why not?" Korra asked.
"I don't need to explain myself to you. Just do what I say." the chief replied angrily.
"You got it, Chief Cranky-pants." Korra answered.
"You're not coming either?" I asked Asahi. Asahi shook his head, his body shivering slightly.
Once we left the ship, we approached a man accompanied by two guards. He wore a green tunic with metal ornaments on his neck. On his face was a golden nose piercing that chained to his ear. He bowed respectfully, "Avatar Korra, Sansar Yukari, It is an honor to meet you. My name is Aiwei."
