Yukari is an orphan girl adopted by Tenzin and Pema; while Korra enters Republic City Yukari begins to uncover secrets about her family and why she could bend more than one element.

In this story the Avatar State is very different. As in the previous story, Kyoshi's Descendant Amaya couldn't tap into the Avatar State since she doesn't have a fire and air Avatar ancestor.
When Yukari taps into the Avatar State it's similar to Korra, but the difference is the Sansar's spirit sign will be located on her forehead"
