The next morning, we prepared ourselves for the vigorous fight that would determine the fate of Republic City, and the world.

"Stay safe my children." Yuuto said, giving us a hug.

"Wait, you're not coming?" Zenji asked.

"No, I've decided to assist Iroh and the others." Yuuto answered, "Your mother might be kept on the island since Amon resides there. She'll be more than surprised at how you've grown up Zetsuna." he removes the bang from my face and smiled.

"Oh, Zenji. There you are. I want you to have this." Asami hands Zenji two metal braces.

"What's this?"

"A gift. Yukari told me that your weapons were similar to the police's. So I modified them to fit your fighting style."

Zenji's eyes widen as he tries them on, "This feels like my old ones, but better! Thanks Asami,"

"Yukari, stay safe out there.  Amon is a nasty dude. Be careful." Bolin said, giving me a hug.

"I will Bo." I answered.

Bolin then shakes Zenji's hand then pulls into a tight embrace. As we parted ways I felt a pit in my stomach. That feeling cold of dread and uncertainty.  As we made it to the ocean Korra and I waterbends a large bubble so they can breathe while underwater. Once we made it out of the water, we put on our Equalist mask and climb up the rocky shores. We peer behind some bushes, watching as Amon boards an airship.

"There's Amon." Korra pointed.

"We need to get into the temple. Then, when he returns ..." Mako said.

"We ambush him." I finished.

We quietly walk toward the temple, but stop when they hear a voice from behind.

"What are you two doing here?" It was the Lieutenant.

"Uh, we were just transferred." Mako answered.

"Well, you're getting transferred again. Amon wants extra security at the arena today."

"The arena? For what exactly?" Zenji asked confused.

"The rally. You should've been briefed about this." he answered.

" We'll be there, sir." Korra bowed, As the Lieutenant walks away. She whispered, "I know another way in." We carefully sneak away and follow Korra. She leads us to the back of the temple, there she lifts up a small door to enter in, "Let's hide in the attic."

"I lived in this temple longer than you and you didn't tell me about this secret passage way?" I asked as we climb up through the attic's trapdoor. Climbing up the ladder brought back memories of when I was a child. This was before Jinora was born. Tenzin, Pema,  and I would pretend that the temple was a big castle. I was the princess, Tenzin would be the scary dragon, while Pema would be the mystical hero that would save me. But those were just memories. Memories of a more simpler time.

"Uh, we're not alone up here." Mako said when we arrived at the top. Though it was impossible, I had some hope that it was my mother. But, it was the exact opposite.

"Tarrlok?" Korra asked surprised.

Tarrlok sits on the floor, locked behind a caged cell. What is he of all people doing here? I thought.

"I don't suppose you're here to rescue me." Tarrlok somewhat joked.

I narrowed my eyes, as Korra stepped forward, "We had no idea you were here. Are there other prisoners on the island?"

"No, I'm the only one."

Well that was disappointing. I thought grimacing.

"And what makes you so special?" Zenji questioned.

"I'm Amon's brother." Tarrlok revealed, "Amon is from the Northern Water Tribe. He's a waterbender and a bloodbender,  just like I was."

"I knew it." Zenji hissed.

"You were telling the truth." Korra said to Zenji.

"Did you know this all along?" Mako questioned.

"No," Tarrlok said bending his head down, "Not until after he captured me."

"How did your brother end up becoming Amon?" Korra followed up.

Tarrlok then told us the story about his brother. To be honest, it was further clarification that Amon isn't who he's painted out to be. But as he told his story, the more and more I felt sympathy for him which was annoying to be honest.

"Avatar Korra. I am truly sorry for all that I did to you. And Sansar Yukari, I apologize for my brother's actions. I thought I was better than my father, but his ghost still shaped me. I became a soldier of revenge, just like he wanted me to be. And so did my brother. The revolution may be built on a lie, but I think Amon truly believes bending is the source of all evil in the world."

"How did you figure out Amon is your brother?" Mako asked.

"When he took my bending, the sensation was somehow familiar. I later recognized it as my brother's bloodbending grip." Tarrlok answered.

"So, he somehow uses bloodbending to take people's bending." Korra thought out loud.

"I don't know how he does it, but then again, I've never encountered a bender as strong as Noatak."

"How in the world do we beat him?" Korra asked.

"We can't. Any attack we throw at him, he'll redirect with his mind. That's how he's been able to challenge any bender." Zenji says.

" So much for our ambush. If we stay here, we're toast." Korra's face then lit up, she has an idea, "But there's another way to beat him."

"How?"

I cupped my chin, "This whole time, Amon has been one step ahead of us. But finally we have the advantage."

Zenji smirked, "If we expose him as a bender in front of all his supporters at the rally..."

"We could take away his true power!" Korra joined.

"And undermine this whole revolution!" Mako finishes.

"Thank you, for your help." Korra said. Tarrlok nods.

As we were about to leave, I turned back seeing Tarrlok looking away. Even though he was a bad person, all he wanted was acceptance. I sighed, stopping the group, "Wait. We can't just leave him here."

" Go. Amon can't know anyone spoke with me." Tarrlok insisted grabbing onto the jail bars, "Defeat him. Put an end to this sad story"

I nodded, "We'll come get you. I promise." we run towards the trapdoor and climb down.
