Yukari's POV
The airship ascended into the clouds and in the distance seeing the Air Temple. My heart began to ache seeing buildings destroyed, some facing minor damage. Bolin and Mako approached, seeing the ruined temples below.
"Oh man." Bolin breathed.
"Must've been some fight." Mako joined as he gazed upon the temple. He then glances at me and was about to say something when the radio came on and a voice started speaking through.
"Mako, did you see the airbenders?" Korra asked, Mako picked up the radio and spoke.
"Not yet. We're just arriving. Don't turn yourself over until I get a visual on them." he said, before putting the radio away. Asami steers the airship to the temple, while Bolin ties the tethering ropes. Both approach the temple to see the earthbender awaiting us.
"This way." he said, Asami and Bolin exchanged looks, while Mako and I glared at him. "You want the airbenders or not?" he asked before going into the tunnel. Mako and I exchange looks before following the earthbender into the tunnel.
As we trailed him, my senses were on high alert, and I found it hard to shake off the nagging feeling that something was definitely amiss about the situation. It was baffling to me as to why Zaheer would want Korra, and I couldn't help but wonder what his ultimate goal was in all this. The more I thought about it, the more I felt a sense of unease creeping into me, and I knew we had to tread carefully.
They took us into a large dim room and there knelt a bruised Tenzin along with the rest of the airbenders. A wave of relief and sadness washed over me as tears filled my eyes, "Daddy." I breathed. Asami placed a hand on my shoulder.
"Mako, what's going on?"
"They're here. And so is the lavabender." Mako answered back.
After a few moments, the lavabender gave a gesture for us to release the airbenders. Asami and I quickly rushed over towards Tenzin who had a black bandana tied around his mouth. This was the first time I've ever seen him this beaten up before. Tenzin was mumbling something, but we couldn't understand him.
"It's okay, Tenzin. We're about to get you out of here." Asami said.
"Mako, go free the others, I'll come join you." I spoke.
Mako agreed and as we approached the other airbenders, but then, suddenly, each airbender dissolved into a puddle of water, until sitting at the end was the waterbender. This was a set up all along. The water bender sent two water bullets at Mako and I, but he quickly deflected it using fire. He immediately picked up the radio.
"Korra, it was a trick! They're not here. Don't turn yourself over!"
The waterbender used her water arms to swing herself and jumped over us. As I was about to react, she wraps water around my wrists and yanks me towards the lavabender.
"Let me--" as I was about to finish my sentence, I felt something wrap around my neck and my body going numb.

Zenji's POV
"Zenji, Zenji get up!"
SLAP
I jolted up finding Kai beside me while Nian-Nian perched on my lap. I hissed rubbing my cheek, "Did you just slapped me?"
"Sorry, I thought you were dead."
"I should say the same for you. No, but for real, you have hands of a goat gorilla." I looked around, "Where are we anyway?"
"Still at the air temple. Come on, we have to tell the others about the airbenders?"
