The legend of Korra: The Sansar Returns

Chapter 2

Yukari's POV 

The sun's rays shown in the east, signaling the dawn of a new day, a new beginning for the world. We hurried towards the southern entrance, awaiting Asami's new airship as it slowly descends. Air Acolytes pull the airship in with ropes. The doors of the airship opened to reveal Asami.

"Did someone order a fully equipped Future Industries airship?" she asked.

"It's perfect! Thanks Asami." I said, as Asami walked down the ramp to meet us.

"I figured if we're going to Ba Sing Se to search for airbenders, we should do it in style." Asami said.

"Yay, airship!" Meelo exclaimed.

"I wanna see!" Ikki joined, as the two summon air scooters inside the aircraft.

"While you guys are gone, Pema, Zeina, Hayato, and I will hold down the fort." Aunt Kya said, as she tended to little Rohan, "Who's excited to spend some time with your Auntie Kya?" she asks in a cooing voice. Out of nowhere, the baby spits up all over Kya's tunic. Hayato begins to laugh heartily, while Zeina cover her mouth, giggling. 

"Aw, he likes you." Pema says.

As Aunt Kya cleans herself with waterbending, Korra notices Mako coming up the stairs, she walks over to him, I followed. "Mako, I'm so glad you're here." 

"Of course, Korra. Avatar. Avatar Korra." Mako said awkwardly, taking a scroll from off his back, he then straightens his posture, "Once I received your message I proceeded to contact various locations within the Earth Kingdom as ordered by you, the Avatar."

Korra raised an eyebrow, "Right, the Avatar thanks you for your loyal service." she says sarcastically.

"Did you find any leads?" I asked.

"There are reports of airbenders popping up all over the Earth Kingdom. I marked the villages on this map." he said, handing the scroll to Korra. "You guys can take it with you."

Korra takes the map from Mako, "Actually, I was kind of hoping you could come, too."

"Really? Uh, it's probably better if I sit this one out." Mako said, looking away from Korra.

"I know things have been weird between us since we broke up, but you're a part of Team Avatar, and we can't do this without you." 

"I'm sorry, I can't." And with that, Mako turns around, leaving us all in a state of bewilderment. Just then, Bolin places a hand on my shoulders, "Don't worry, I'll get to him." He then scurries away to catch up with his brother.

Just then, I notice Asahi approaching me. He was wearing a red jacket with his shirt neatly buttoned to his neck, and his hear was properly combed to the side. "You're coming too?" I asked.

"Of course, I've always wanted to meet other airbenders. Besides it'll be a fascinating discovery." he replied. I noticed his eyes sparkling with excitement. 

"I'll miss you, sweetie." Pema says planting a kiss on Tenzin's cheek.

"I'll miss you too. Once we find the airbenders, I'll send word. You can join us at the Northern Air Temple then." Tenzin said.

"Is my father coming with us?" I asked Tenzin.

"Yuuto is off on an errand with Lord Zuko, but he'll join us at the Northern Air temple." Tenzin responded.

"Hey! How come Jinora gets to go with you but we don't? That's so not fair!" Ikki complained approaching us, folding her arms and pouting.

"Yeah! What this girl said! Not fair!" Meelo joined, following Ikki's gesture.
