I starred at Korra, twiddling with her fingers as she hung her head in a saddened state. I was more so angry with myself for agreeing to join Tarrlok's "Task Force". I mean what was I thinking?

We gathered at City Hall, Korra was at one end of the 'U' shaped table, while I was at the other end.

"My fellow task force deputies, tonight we will execute a raid on an underground chi blocker training camp located in the Dragon Flats borough." Tarrlok informed, "According to my sources, there is a cellar underneath this bookstore, where Equalists train chi blocking in secret." he points at blueprint of a store behind him.

Later on we arrived at the location, which was a few miles from City Hall. The majority of the structures in the Dragon Flats borough are low-rise, no more than two or three stories high. Most buildings are dark or dull in exterior coloration, following a color scheme based around gray. While the roads were bumpy as it was a little difficult to stay hidden.  Once we came to a stop, Korra, myself, and the other task force members jump out and up against the wall. I peered through an opening at the bottom of the wall and sees several men and woman training and learning chi blocking techniques. On the opposite wall lays a large poster with a portrait of Amon staring over the room. Suddenly I remembered the Equalists meeting a few days ago and gasped. I turned to see Korra face turn pale, but puts a resolve face.

My eyes widen when it clicked, Korra was scared of Amon taking her bending away. We stood up and waited for Tarrlok's signal. Tarrlok raises his hand to show his fingers outstretched. He closes them into a fist, shows his outstretched palm again, closes his hand into a fist again, and flashes two fingers.  A task force member nods and unwinds the top of the water tank and bends the water out. Another member bends the water toward him and to another task force member and another until all the waterbenders have water at their disposal.  Tarrlok holds his hand out behind him, as we waited for the signal.

He points downward and with swift movements the waterbenders flooded the room and freezes it. The task force earthbenders break through the wall, causing several chi blockers and trainees to leap back. I entered along with the task force earthbenders attacking the people by throwing bricks. As I noticed the female Chi blocker coming after me, I conjured up a block of earth and slammed it into her, causing her to crash into a wall. Tarrlok and Korra enter the room next. Tarrlok throws someone using waterbending and freezes their head against the wall. A chi blocker throws two grenades that have green gas filtering out of them, while another opens the door and escapes. Korra freezes the two grenades in ice and the leaking smoke clears up.

"We're going after those two. Yukari!"

I nodded and followed Korra down a dimly lighted corridor. Suddenly, we both trip over a wire and crash to the ground. I looked up to see two chi blockers leap out from a space in the ceiling and tries to grab us.   Korra quickly gets up and kicks a large rock up from underneath one chi blocker, hitting him in the chest falling back from the momentum. While I punched a ball of fire, knocking the other one out. I turned around seeing another chi blocker a bola, as he was about to attack, Tarrlok blasts a stream of water at the chi blocker and freezes him to the wall.

"Nice timing. Thanks, Tarrlok." Korra said, as she helps me up.

"We make a good team, Avatar."

"Yeah, we do." Korra answered, folding her arms. I looked away as my brows knitted together.

Later in the week, Tarrlok hold a press conference with Korra and I side by side of him.

"Avatar Korra and Sansar Yukari has bravely answered the call to action. With the three of us leading the charge, Republic City has nothing to fear from Amon and the Equalists." Tarrlok reassured the press.

As I furrowed my brows in disgust, I felt sick to my stomach. Even the mere thought of being on this task force was humiliating enough.

"Question for the Avatar!" shouted a female reporter on the first row, "Amon remains at large. Why have you failed to locate him?"

Korra comes closer to the microphone, while Tarrlok takes a step back, " You want to know why? Because Amon is hiding in the shadows like a coward." She then grabs microphone.  "Amon, I challenge you to a duel! No task force, no chi blockers, just the two of us tonight at midnight on Avatar Aang Memorial Island. Let's cut to the chase and settle this thing, if you're man enough to face me."

I was left speechless as she puts the microphone down and marches off the stage, as the reporters buzz with questions asking for clarification. I tried to talk Korra out of it, but she shewed me off. Tarrlok reassured me that he'll send a fleet of airships if anything goes wrong, which I highly doubt he will.

So, I took matters into my own hands. I dashed across the water using waterbending, while I prayed that Amon wouldn't be there. Suddenly the clock strikes midnight, I gritted my teeth and dashed faster. Finally, arriving on Avatar Aang Memorial Island.

"Going somewhere?"

I gasped and turned to see that fox mask guy. I stood in a firebending stance, "Here for a rematch?"

"Rematch?" he asked, cocking his head to the side and grabbing his chin, "Oh you mean last time. Nah, I'm just here to talk." He gently sits down on the ground.

"Talk?" I asked, confused.

"Yeah, have a little chit-chat. Hey, congratulations on being a fully realized Sansar, that mean I could be your rival."

"Why are you working with Amon?" I questioned sternly.

"Ooh, the big questions, huh?" he asked, with sarcasm in his voice. "You really wanna know? Well, long story short, I was two when my family was killed by a firebender. Amon found me and raised me as his own. Anything else?"

Wait, why does it sound familiar? I thought, as I furrowed my brows.

"Tell me something, why does Amon hate benders so much?" I questioned.

"Geez you benders are so dense huh?" chuckled the masked stranger, "Amon wants equality for all, you were at the meeting remember?"

"Wait how did you--"

"I was there dum-dum," he replied. "Welp I'd love to stay and chat but I'd better get going."

"What? Wait! Don't---"

But it was too late as he takes out a smoke bomb and throws it on the ground and vanishes. Suddenly, I heard Korra screaming. Korra was in trouble, I thought. I quickly thought of where Tenzin might be. Which was normally at home, I dashed back to Air Temple Island meeting Tenzin there.

"Dad, come quick! Korra's in trouble!" I cried.

"What?" Tenzin asked, his eyes widen in shock.

We quickly rushed to Avatar Aang Memorial Island, going inside the base of the statue to find Korra laying on the ground.

"Korra!" I yelled, hoping that she was alright.

"Korra, are you all right? What happened? Was Amon here?" Tenzin asks.

Korra opened her eyes, I sighed relieved that she was okay, "Yeah, he ambushed me." Korra answered.

"Did he ... did he take your bending away?" I asked, afraid to even utter those words.

Korra creates a flame in the palm of her right hand, "No I'm okay."

"Ah, thank goodness." Tenzin said relieved.

Korra suddenly starts to cry and embraces both Tenzin and I. My eyes widen as I could feel her entire body shake vigorously. I comfort Korra putting his arms around her and placing my head on her shoulder.

"I was so terrified, I felt so helpless." she sobbed.

"It's all right, the nightmare is over," Tenzin said gently.

" Yukari, I'm so......so..... sorry. I've been scared this whole time.  I've never felt like this before and ... and Tenzin, I don't know what to do!" She continued wiping the tears from her face.

"Admitting your fears is the first and most difficult step in overcoming them."  Tenzin answered.

"And we're always here if you need help." I joined, as tears welled up in my eyes, "You just have to ask."
