Summary: SuA and Yoohyeon make a proposition to the reader.

You brushed back a stray lock of hair as you bent over the countertop, beating together a creamy pancake batter with your opposite hand. Soft laughter and a gentle touch alike met your ear as SuA reached up and rearranged your hair more securely behind it. "I've never seen someone make breakfast so energetically before."

"I told you to stay out of the kitchen!" you replied indignantly.

"I'm just getting something to drink," SuA returned. She rummaged around beside you for a moment before retreating to a corner of the room with a full glass, observing you with a smile on her face.

You gave her a pained look as you fetched some milk from the refrigerator. "SuA, this was supposed to be a surprise."

"Like I don't know what bacon and eggs would smell like as you fried them?" she chuckled. You heard her footsteps softly padding away regardless. You checked over your shoulder to be sure that she was really gone before you shook your head with a roll of your eyes.

One finger ran down the list of ingredients on the cookbook that you had pulled from one of the extensive shelves in the Kim household. Depictions of fresh harvests and luscious plants decorated its charcoal cover that was inscribed with indications of kitchen witchcraft. Given its dog-eared and occasionally food-splattered pages, you guessed that it was a favorite.

Handwritten notes hid themselves under the odd instruction with successful modifications, so you took the ones that you found into account: add cinnamon for love, honey for happiness. Had SuA once enchanted Yoohyeon in such a way, you wondered? Had those magical variations or highlighted tips been the key to her heart? And if they were, would they work when you tried them, too?

You chewed on your bottom lip anxiously as you poured the completed batter into one of the pans on the stovetop. Flipping and tending to the food became mindless as you let anxious thoughts whirl within. Yes, SuA and Yoohyeon had asked you on a date, but were you the only one who felt so strongly? You had deeply enjoyed your late-night rendezvous, yet you still felt that there could be more to your connection.

When you grabbed the cookbook to put it away during a free moment, a single page fell out.

It didn't worry you, as the book looked quite dilapidated, so you figured that it wasn't your misdoing. As you bent over to pick up the page from the old planks of the wooden floor, however, your eyes landed on another underlined sentence: "Remember that magick must be performed with the proper intent. Otherwise, you are simply combining ingredients, not nourishing the soul."

You took a deep breath as you stood holding the paper for a moment. The words settled neatly in your mind before you did the same to the page, restoring it to its place in the cookbook. When you returned to the stovetop after putting the book back on the shelf, you mixed around the scrambled eggs slowly. With each motion, you formed a thought of thankfulness and hope.

Before you knew it, your actions were walking the line between mindful and subconscious again. But they had transformed from disquiet to amour as visions danced in your mind of recreating such a morning many times over in the future, perhaps with Yoohyeon or SuA – or both – helping on occasion. In any scenario, the outcome was filled with the thing that you were craving so much: love, or more specifically, their love.

They had extended the original proposal. It was up to you to present one of your own.

You had to admit to yourself that you felt a lot better as you carefully arranged the food on a tray. You decorated around the plates with linen napkins and fresh herbs and brushed off your hands before you picked everything up and carried it to the bedroom.
