Summary: The reader and her girlfriend SuA come out as a couple at a show with their bandmates JiU, Siyeon, Handong, Yoohyeon, Dami, and Gahyeon.

Was it the hot lights shining on your face that made beads of perspiration form on your forehead, or was it the hours of dancing that done it, you wondered? It was already the encore of your concert, yet the time felt like it had flown by with InSomnia and Dreamcatcher by your side.

You certainly considered it another night for the books filled with loud music and happy memories, but you had no idea that it was about to be the most special one yet.

You raced down the runways of the stage, your hair and a slogan emblazoned with your name alike streaming behind you as confetti clouded your vision. You held tightly to the fabric as you dodged a laughing Han Dong and Lee Gahyeon giving each other piggyback rides, your eyes set the whole time on Kim SuA.

The song that was playing was one that you had helped to write with her in mind. There was no place that you wanted to be but by her side.

She was happy to catch you in her arms when you got there.

"Hi, love," she giggled as she swept you into her grasp, twirling you around to a swell of cheers.

"Hi, unnie. Look!" Proudly, you held up the slogan that you had been tossed. When SuA gave you a wide-eyed thumbs up, you produced another with her own name from behind your back with a grin. The striking carmine color of the fabric was a rich contrast to the inky theme surrounding you. Just as she liked to, SuA stood out. But at the moment, the only person who mattered was you.

"They gave it to you?" SuA laughed, looking beyond you at the InSomnia that you had just been playing with. It made your heart skip a beat to realize that she had been watching you.

"I asked them for it," you admitted sheepishly.

"Sweet," SuA praised you, pressing a kiss to the side of your head. There was a loving tease in her tone, playful intent in her gaze. You pulled a face as more InSomnia cheered her on, which earned you a shove from the older girl.

You nearly missed your lines because of the action, so you followed SuA as you sang, kicking her backside in revenge.

But getting back at SuA was never a particularly good idea. She whirled on her feet instantly to hunt you down, and you somehow got entangled with Kim Yoohyeon when you turned around to evade her. "Sorry, sorry!" you apologized profusely, scrambling to help Yoohyeon back to her feet. She laughed it off, as did you, but your giggles were soon cut off. "Oh, no."

"Hey!"

You would have bet money on the fact that SuA had already forgotten what she was mad at you for, but that didn't stop her from jumping on top of you and knocking you to the floor again. If you didn't have to call out injured for the next show, you would consider it a miracle.

Whether it was from the fact that she had knocked the wind out of you or the feeling of her being so close, you didn't know, but you blamed SuA in either case for your sudden breathlessness. Her muscular thighs pinned you down on either side of your hips, forearms resting on the runway so that your chests pressed against each other. Her lips were centimeters from yours, and though it was a familiar occurrence, it felt as new as the first time.

SuA's smile disappeared the moment that she saw your wide eyes. They had quickly filled with tears as your hands settled on her waist. The music and loud cheers that were only halfway muffled with one side of your in-ears seemed as though they were lightyears away. Vaguely, you realized that no one was singing. Was it one of your lines that was being missed?

If you had looked anywhere but SuA's eyes, you might have seen all six of your bandmates turning towards the two of you, wondering why the older girl wasn't belting out her lyrics. Lee Dami, thinking on her feet as usual, picked up the line when she saw that you two were stuck in your own world. She slowly walked over to meet you, as did the rest of the girls, who were undoubtably worrying that you were hurt.

You were, incredibly so, but not for the reasons that they might have guessed.

Your heart ached terribly, your hands trembled, your eyes watered. You wanted to kiss SuA right then and there so much that it pained you.

You weren't the only one who felt that way. SuA's lips parted, eyebrows drawn together in utter craving. She looked just as distressed that she couldn't express how she felt.

"We'd get in trouble, wouldn't we?" you whispered desperately. You didn't need to clarify what you were talking about, seeing as she obviously shared your thoughts.

SuA swallowed hard. "By whom? Not the company, they told us that it's our decision."

"People would write articles...we'd lose fans...we wouldn't be invited places."

"Fuck them," SuA spat. "I don't want to read those articles, I don't want to see those fans, I don't want to go to those places if they mean that I can't love you, and neither do the members."

The rest of your bandmates had realized what was going on once they were close enough to read SuA's lips. They clung to each other in a semi-circle around you, watching with bated breath. From the corner of your eye, you saw Lee Siyeon wiping away a stray tear just before SuA's lips hit yours. The only person not watching you was Kim JiU, who was kneeling on the side of the stage, motioning desperately for an object from an InSomnia. She plucked the pride flag off of the end of her lightstick and tossed the plastic staff to Handong as she held the rainbow fabric in her arms, waiting for you to look up.

You didn't ever want the kiss to end, however. You held tightly to SuA's shoulders as your lips captured and released hers over and over again, savoring the taste of her as though it were the first time. It all felt brand new to you, an incredible display of fireworks alight in your heart with the love surrounding you. The cheers had never been so deafening before, yet you tugged out the in-ear that you were still using to hear them fully.

SuA's own emotions overflowed into salty tears that dripped onto your cheek and shattered her breath into broken fragments. She clung to you as though you could protect her from all the hate that the world might have to offer – you would soon find out just what was in store for you two, you knew. The one thing that was certain would be how you felt about and cared for each other.

When you finally pulled away, SuA was the first to see the pride flag. She laughed as she climbed off of you, holding out a hand for you to pull yourself to your feet with. She draped one half of the flag over your shoulders, the other half on hers. You gave her a wobbly smile that she returned, but she quickly broke your gaze to look out into the audience.

You had never seen so many InSomnia crying before, but it made your heart soar as you realized that they were tears of joy.

SuA leaned her head on your shoulder, the hand that wasn't holding the flag over her body wrapping itself around your waist. Cameras flashed and tears dripped from your eyes, but you didn't move a muscle until the song faded out. The other members had continued singing it for you, you realized, and the end of the concert had arrived.

You would forever hold it in your memory as the best one yet. No matter what happened after it, you would be proud that you had followed your heart.

As SuA straightened up, you turned to her and held up your microphone so that everyone could hear you loud and clear. "SuA unnie, my girlfriend, I love you."

SuA's pure joy upon hearing you call her by her title materialized in the form of a laugh. Her chocolate orbs glowed, and you swore that you could see the rainbow of stars surrounding her pupils dance as she lifted her microphone to reply. "I love you, too. Forever."

You reached for SuA's hand, giving it a squeeze before you kissed it. "Forever."
