Six years ago, when your original bias group disbanded, you put down your camera and swore never to pick it up again. It hurt too badly, and you'd never love a group the same way again, you were sure.
You'd just started listening to Dreamcatcher's discography and were becoming acquainted with the girls. You went to a couple live events, even, feeling a twinge of guilt at leaving your old bias group behind but assuring yourself that it was harmless.
Of course, you fell in love with them quite quickly. Well, all of them besides Lee Siyeon.
She was oh, so intimidating – no wonder they called her the Wolf – with her dark brown eyes and gothic style clothing. You felt like there was an invisible wall when you looked at her, for she was always staring at an empty space above you, and never back at you.
She looked like she was carrying the weight of the whole world on her shoulders.
But you were already attending more events and becoming friends with other fans, and it didn't feel right calling yourself an InSomnia when there was a member you couldn't connect with. You had to choose: give up on the group as a whole, or find a way to get through to Siyeon.
And that was why you ended up in front of her with your old camera at a fanmeeting, in the front row, aiming it at her faraway gaze. But to your great surprise, as you looked at her through the lens, she tilted her head and gave you a look you'd never seen on her before – one of curiosity that warmed your whole body.
When you put your camera down a moment later, having gotten the shot you wanted, she looked up and down your body. A half-smile settled on her full lips just before the world crashed back onto her shoulders. As she turned to her members, you lifted the camera again and froze her melancholy in time.
You studied those two photos for weeks on end.
From then on, you took picture after picture of her until she began to bias wreck you, then made you double biased, then made you admit that you no longer biased Kim Yoohyeon but her.
Every time you'd point the camera at her, she would forget about the huge globe she was carrying. She put it down for a moment and let it roll away while she played with you, and you never wanted her to have to pick it up again, so you made sure of it as long as you had her attention.
In fact, you did everything you could. Not just taking pictures, when she would pose and smile for you, but anything you could think of: buying her gifts, telling her jokes, making t-shirts with her silly selfies on them for other fans to wear. But to your surprise, what she enjoyed most of all were the birthday parties you put together for her.
It was your day job, event planning. You threw one of her first-ever birthday cafés since she'd debuted in Dreamcatcher, and it was so good, the rest of the fans left you to it. It was quickly established as your responsibility, and you took great pride in that.
They were always gorgeous. Everyone told you so, but even if they didn't, you'd still know it. And Siyeon loved them more than anything. When she found out that you threw the first one, she turned to you, in that whole big room full of people with their cameras recording and ears trained on her every word, and said, "This is the best birthday I've ever had, thanks to you."
That's when people started telling you to take over. But you weren't just her personal party planner, you were her right-hand fan, the one who posted the first updates, who took the best shots of her, whom she loved to see the most.
