Jungkook was in complete shock; calling him surprised by Mr Kim's proposal would be an understatement.

What about Soo-Ah, then?

Jungkook knew about Jiwoo Aunt’s suggestion to have Taehyung marry her daughter. Jimin had been the one to tell him.

When Jungkook first heard it, he felt a pang in his heart and didn’t understand why.

The idea of Taehyung marrying someone else left him feeling gloomy, and he couldn't shake the thought of the baby becoming attached to Soo-Ah as a mother.

But at that moment, Jungkook had only forced a painful smile in front of Jimin, hiding his real emotions.

Now, he felt conflicted all over again, unable to sort out his feelings.

Jungkook looked around the silent living room, observing everyone’s reactions.

First, he looked at Taehyung, who had his head hung low, avoiding everyone’s gaze. Jungkook sighed softly at that sight.

Then, he looked over at the Kim family.

They were all looking at him with gentle smiles and Jungkook quickly understood—they supported Ye-Jun’s decision.

Finally, Jungkook turned to his left to gauge his parents reaction. He was shocked to see them smiling at him with reassurance. It was as if they had expected this all along, as if they, too, agreed that he should marry Taehyung.

Taehyung raised his head slightly, his gaze resting on Jungkook as he tried to read his reaction to his father’s words.

Taehyung’s expression softened, a fond smile appearing as he looked at Jungkook, who was wide-eyed, almost innocent, taking in everyone’s reactions.

Eunwoo and Irene were thrilled with Ye-Jun’s proposal; they felt like they were on cloud nine.

They had always admired Taehyung, especially seeing how responsible he was at such a young age, working hard and treating everyone with respect

Before, they’d imagined Taehyung as the perfect match for their “princess,” back when he was still single and before Yoon-min began dating.

But all their hopes and dreams were shattered when Taehyung married Jennie.

Though they were happy for him, they’d still wished he would find true happiness.

However, as time went on, they noticed Taehyung wasn’t happy with his marriage. He’d grown distant, becoming cold and closed-off which worried both the Kim and Jeon families.

Now, it seemed like fate was giving Taehyung a second chance to be truly happy. Eunwoo and Irene wanted that for him; they knew he would care for their “princess” like no one else could and would make an ideal husband.

Eunwoo moved to sit beside his beloved “princess.” He patted Jungkook’s shoulder, drawing his attention.

“Princess, don’t stress yourself over this. It’s your decision whether or not to marry Taehyung and we will support whatever choice you make,” Eunwoo said gently, his voice soft and reassuring.

Jungkook still silent, looked into his father’s eyes and saw only love and adoration. He gave a soft smile, grateful once again to have such understanding and loving parents who would never pressure him.

Lost in thought, Jungkook looked down at his lap, nervously fiddling with his fingers as he felt everyone’s eyes on him. After a few moments, he lifted his gaze, meeting Taehyung’s almond-shaped eyes.
