Jeon Mansion

It was the night before the wedding.

Jungkook lay in bed, lost in a whirlwind of emotions. Tomorrow, he’d begin a new chapter in his life, and while that made him feel a thrill of excitement, a part of him was filled with sadness.

He’d be leaving the home he had known his entire life, and that thought left a pit of worry in his stomach.

Jungkook had never been apart from his family, not even for a single night.

The atmosphere around the mansion was heavy and solemn. The Jeons, the maids, and the butlers were all sombre, each quietly dealing with the reality that their beloved "princess" would soon be leaving.

Though everyone knew he’d come back to visit often, nothing would be the same.

Packing was already finished, thanks to Irene and Jimin, who helped Jungkook prepare for this new life.

As they folded his clothes and tucked away familiar items, they couldn’t stop the tears from flowing.

Jungkook tried to comfort them, though his own heart was heavy, his own eyes glossy with unshed tears. This wasn’t easy for any of them.

Jungkook couldn’t bring himself to eat dinner that night, so he quietly slipped away to his room, hoping that sleep would come quickly.

Jungkook didn’t want dark circles marrying his face on his wedding day.

After finishing his nightly routine, he cuddled up with his favourite bunny plushie and closed his eyes, willing himself to fall asleep.

About fifteen minutes later, a gentle knock broke the silence of his room.

Jungkook didn’t feel like getting up, so he simply pulled the blanket away from his face and called out, “Come in.”

To his surprise, it was his mom, dad, and Jimin standing in the doorway.

Jungkook’s eyes widened when he saw his dad wearing the very same Donald Duck pyjama set he’d bought for him months ago.

Back then, Eunwoo had refused to wear it, calling it too childish, but now, seeing his father in it, Jungkook’s heart melted

Back then, Eunwoo had refused to wear it, calling it too childish, but now, seeing his father in it, Jungkook’s heart melted. His father had done this, just for him.

Tears pricked his eyes, and he couldn’t hold back as he jumped out of bed and ran to hug his father.

Eunwoo embraced him warmly, a smile on his face as he held his son close. Irene and Jimin watched the scene with soft smiles, relieved to see Jungkook's radiant smile finally return.

“Princess, I wore this to see my bunny’s beautiful smile,” Eunwoo said, pouting slightly. “But now you’re crying.”

Jungkook sniffled, brushing away his tears with his sweater-covered hands. “Ani, Dad, I’m just… really happy,” he whispered, trying to hold back more tears. His family cooed at his adorable expression.
