"Asking"

Neteyam's POV

It's been a few days since I confronted her about everything. We would hang out more and go to our favorite places like the dock and where the trees were. We would swim or talk together, she taught me more of the underwater signals while I taught her more slang.

"Cunt," I said.

"Cant," said Neyudia.

"No its cu-nt," I said, trying to break it down.

"Cunt," she said slowly.

"There you go," I said, smiling at her.

"And what does that mean?"

"It's an insult to people, mostly to women. It's like the other word I taught you. Pussy and cunt kind of go hand in hand."

"Oh," she said.

I laughed.

"You're so cute," I said.

"I'm not cute!"

She smacked me and got on top of me and had my hands pinned to the ground. She stared at my eyes and smirked . She slowly gave me a small peck on the lips secretly. She stood up and then helped me up.

"I'll see you soon," she said as she winked at me jokingly.

I waved goodbye to her and went out in the distance.

I could finally plan now.

I went to Roxto since I didn't want to talk to my family about this stuff.

"What's up man," said Roxto as we did our handshake.

"I'm going to ask her," I said, trying to contain my smile.

"That's great!"

"I'm going to do it where we first kissed," I said.

"So I need your help to find beautiful plants to lay down on the floor," I said.

We went to the ocean to find leaves, coral, and a lot of shells. I thanked Roxto for the help as I went to set up. I layed the shells to make a heart so we could sit inside it. I found a flower that Ma had that she got from the forest. I didn't tell her why I wanted it but she gave it to me so win-win. I also took some beads we use for our hair to make a bracelet for her. It had the colors blue like her eyes, white, and purple. I went to go find her so I could surprise her. I saw she was talking to Ronal and Tonowari. I waited until she got out as I grabbed her aside.

"Neteyam what are you do-"

"Shh just follow me," I said as I covered her eyes with the palms of my hand.

I made sure she didn't fall or run into something.

"What's going on Neteyam," she asked.

I let my hands go and she saw the view. I heard her gasp and she walked closer to observe everything.

My heartbeat was really fast. I was nervous.

She smiled so big. Everytime I heard her laugh or saw her express any type of happy emotion my heart would melt and my ears would go up. I grabbed her hands and caressed them. She looked up into my eyes.

I could stare into her beautiful eyes until I couldn't see anymore. I wanted those eyes to be the last thing I will ever see.

"Neyudia when you almost tried to kill me I think that's what drew me in the most to you," I said.

She laughed.

"I constantly tried to win you over and you always pushed me away but I felt in my gut I should keep going. Something about you kept me so attracted to you."
