Chapter 3

It was never this way, at some point i was happy and we were all a happy family but that ended 2 years ago, it's all my fault.
I get up groaning in pain, i get my outfit out, i chose a pink long sleeve crop top and jeans and top it off with my pink vans, i put my usual makeup on and put on the necklace my dad gave me for my birthday
I cover the bruises on my stomach with my makeup once I realize the shirt doesn't cover them, I don't want to get caught now, that would be very bad for me.
I leave heading towards the door but before i can make it mom comes out of her "hey sweetie" she says in a sweet tone "I'm so sorry about last night" she says coming towards me, i freeze looking at her "you know it's not your fault, my beautiful baby girl" she says stepping closer to me, i just nod trying not to cry "it's okay mom, i love you" i reply looking away, she's nice when she isn't drunk, she becomes the old her
"You better get going my sweet girl" i nod leaving the house, i get into my car and drive away after starting it
I try not to break down, doesn't it break her heart seeing me like this? All covered in bruises
Parking my car, I take a second to gather myself before getting off, i can't let the girls see me like this, i pull down my car mirror and wipe away a few tears that came out, i practice my smile, the smile I put on for show. Once I'm ready I get out and walk to the school doors.
A few people are out by their cars with their friends or walking to the school doors. I smile at people as I walk by, they smile back.
"Stella!" i turn around hearing someone calling my name, i spot violet walking towards me, i run to her "LETTY" i shout her nickname while running into her arms "i've missed you so much" i say as we hug "i've missed you more stella" she responds back "how was the first day of school yesterday without your favorite" she says laughing, "well it was boring, but something did happen" i say thinking about Mason
We walk towards the school doors, and head towards Evelyn's locker. We always meet there but stop by our lockers before. When we get there, evelyn is standing there with andrew laughing at something, i smile at the sight of them together
"Hey guys" letty says getting their attention "hey letty" evelyn says hugging her "sup" andrew responds hugging letty "i'll let you girls catch up" andrew says kissing eve goodbye "bye girls" he says to me and letty, we wave goodbye "have you told her what happened with mason" Eve says with a excited look on her face while violet looks at me with a confused face, i give her a sheepish look "well yesterday me and mason bumped into each other" i fill her in, she gives me a shock face "and he was staring at me during lunch and then he sits next to me in history" evelyn looks shocked not knowing this information, no one has said anything yet waiting for me to finish
