CHAPTER 25: SINNER OR SAINT?

NADIA'S POV

We have to rush to the restaurant with our horses as we found out that Gabi and Falco also escaped from the prison. I really have no idea why they did that.

As we arrived to that fancy restaurant which in the meantime Niccolo worked there, Hange would barged in through the restaurant. Armin had to check out what's going on.

"Oh no, this is bad! Everyone, come here!" he called us and we rushed to figure out what's going on.

"Huh? What is it?" I ask him about what's going on.

We arrived at the scenery as he saw some shenanigans and saw Gabi and Falco. Falco seems not be okay.

"Is that the bitch who killed Sasha?" said Jean.

"Gabi? What is she doing with Sasha's family?" I was shocked as I see the same girl once again but with Sasha's family.

"What's all this, Niccolo? I heard she was on the run," Jean asked Niccolo as Niccolo held the knife on his hand.

"What the hell are you try to do, Niccolo?" I asked him too.

"Hey, stay away! I said back off! I'm just going to avenge Sasha! You better don't move!" he held the knife to injured Falco's face. He seems really full of rage on his face.

"Please, stop. Falco is innocent!" Gabi pleaded Niccolo to not kill Falco.

"What's this boy to you? He ended up like this because he tried to protect you! Is he someone special for you? I also had someone special for me! She's an Eldians, the descendants of devils! But she enjoyed my food more than anyone else! She also saved me from this hellish war and she also taught me that I was meant to make food that makes people happy. Her name is Sasha Braus and that's the name of the woman you killed!" said Niccolo furiously to Gabi.

"I lost people who were special to me too! Just because Sasha shot them and that why I had to revenge on her! She's the one who killed them first!" said Gabi

"Who cares about who did it first?!" Niccolo didn't care on what she said and pointed the knife to Falco's neck.

"I beg you, think about it twice! You're also a Marleyan soldier, aren't you? I'm sure that devil bitch brainwashing you! Don't let those puny devils win!" Gabi furiously stormed on Niccolo. Her words really makes us furious too.

"Niccolo, give me that knife. Please," said Mr. Braus as he reached his hand for the knife. Niccolo didn't hesitate to pass the knife to Mr. Braus

He walked on Gabi's side as he held the knife on his hand but Hange told him to stop. "That's enough, Mr. Braus. Please put down the knife,"

"Sasha was indeed a hunter. But I knew that there'd come a day when we have to give up on that style of life so I sent Sasha away from the forest. She went into the world and became a soldier, shot people far beyond and got herself shot. In the end, though she left our forest. the world is so great, big forest where everyone's fighting for their life," said Mr. Braus as she pass the knife to his wife. She put the knife on the table.

"I reckon Sasha died cuz she wandered in the forest too long. We've gotta keep the younguns out of the forest. Otherwise, it ain't nothing gonna stop it from happening again. So that's why it's up to us adults to shoulder the sins of the past," he continued.

"Niccolo, please let Ben go," said Mrs. Braus. Niccolo had no choice but he had to laid Falco for a while on the floor.

"Good, Lisa. Slowly, now," said Mr. Braus. Jean and Niccolo had to hold on Niccolo.

Me and Mikasa had to check on Gabi if she's doing fine.

"Are you hurt, girl?" Mikasa asked Gabi.

"At least you're safe with us, Gabi." I asked Gabi
