EPILOGUE

Flashback...

NADIA'S POV

As I was stirring the coffee in the cafe, I was thinking that if Morgan's word might be right. It still doesn't make sense that Papa still alive

It's only me in the cafe because Luca has something need to be settled for. I drank the hot coffee until the cup went empty.

Suddenly, I can hear Morgan's voice calling me from behind "Nadia!"

I stand up from my chair after seeing him "What do you want, Morgan?"

"You know? I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings from the war memorial few months ago. I know I'm not supposed to talk about your father but I really know where he is now," hearing Morgan's statement makes me raising my eyebrows in concern.

"Please don't make me losing my mind here, Morgan. Only I know that he's died for sacrifice us. Get off my sight," I told him to stay away.

"Please listen to me, Nadia. He's now being treated in the hospital. I actually take care of him right now. You need to follow me because I know you don't believe my words," said Morgan as he grabbed my hands to follow him.

"Let me go, Morgan! I know that you lie to me about Papa!" I said to me but he didn't care. He keeps dragging me although I struggled to let my hands go from his hand.

He then brought me to the hospital. The nurses and the patients watching me tried to let my hands go. He would lead his way to the ward room. As he opened the door, he would let my hands go from him.

"What's wrong with you?! Why are you dragging me here?!" I scolded him and thinking he's insane.

"Still don't believe me?! Here, your Papa's lying on the bed right now!" Morgan burst his anger to me and pointed his hand to where I saw Papa laying on the bed.

As I getting closer to him and moving the transparent curtain, he was in bad condition. He was badly injured and his body burned for approximately 30%. His arms were bandaged due to severely burn.

I can hear his breathing through the oxygen tank. Sounds like he's deep sleeping. Tears rolling down from my cheeks as I can't bear to see his badly condition. "Papa..."

"Sorry about what happened to your father, but I will tell you why I brought him to be treated," Morgan is about to tell everything about Papa.

"Actually, right after I discovered that the land was flattened by the Colossal Titan, I saw the dead bodies in very brutal condition. But your father was quite lucky enough although being severely burnt. I can hear his heartbeat and his slow breath. I decided to brought him to the hospital to be treated. I know it's hard to describe about his condition but I could explain it shortly. He still survives although being burnt but the worst part here is that his left leg got a huge damage here until his bones and tissues of his left leg burnt into crisp. Big possibility that he won't able to use his left leg again. The doctors decided to amputate his burnt left leg as they have no other options. But, he might get an artificial left leg to replace his damaged left leg," Morgan's full explanation making me widened my eyes in horror.

"Doctor also said that he has been in coma for about.... more than 3 years. Since he was defeated in the battlefield," he continued his statement.

"That's means that Papa would become disabled for the rest of his life?" I asked him.

"Sadly yes. But we will wait until he's finally wake up. I know he will be worried about his leg and needed therapy to walk using artificial left leg," said Morgan.

I exhaled heavily as I worried about Papa's condition. "Papa, you really risked your life for us.... I will always wait for you to be awake,". I smiled to
him and hold his hand being injected with needle.

"I thought I was losing you on that day. I'm really worried about you, you know," I said to him.

After I met Papa in hospital, I informed my siblings that Papa's actually survive but he's in coma. They rushed to invite Papa and they have been waiting for it until two weeks before my marriage.

That day when I losing people was the most tragic event I ever faced but this badass person like Papa, he would rather do anything for us At least he got a second chance to live and I know I will never lose people I love for once again.....
