"Madame, Lia! Akala ko ba pupunta si Dr. Velasquez?"

I averted my eyes off the ocean when Dave called me, the new Vice President of VLSQZ Apparel since Elizzer has resigned. Him and my husband are working in our hospital already. Zy replaced Dave in the Finance Dept. Head position. I quickly nodded as I gave him a small smile.

"Yeah. He's on his way. Why?"

"Yayayain ko sanang mag-inom." sagot niya at naupo sa harapan ko.

"Gago! Mag-da-drive ka pa mamaya! Umayos ka! Idadamay mo pa si Doc!" Sinamaan siya ng tingin ni Sophia.

"Don't worry, hindi naman umiinom si Andrei." Natatawang sagot ko sa kanila.

"Biro lang, love. Galit ka na naman?" Lumapit sa kaniya si Dave at yumakap sa likod nito.

Inirapan lamang siya ni Sophia at muling tumingin sa akin. She's eating a green mango and it's so evident on her face that she really enjoys it.

"Buntis ka ba, Madame?" She asked abruptly.

"Ako?" Kumunot ang aking noo at napahawak sa tiyan ko. "No. I'm not pregnant. Bakit naman?"

"Wala lang. Tulala ka kasi. Kanina pa ang lalim ng iniisip mo."

"Porque malalim ang iniisip buntis agad? Tingin niyo sa akin? Taon-taong buntis?"

"Ay hindi ba?"

I laughed at her reaction. Ang bagoong na kapares ng mangga niya ay kumakalat na sa gilid ng kaniyang labi. Ako pa ang buntis? When she's the one who actually has a preggy signs?

"Miss ko lang asawa ko." Ngumuso ako.

Andrei's not here for two days ever since we started the company's small celebration before the founding anniversary. Dalawang araw siyang nasa hospital. Dalawang araw na siyang walang tulog. Walang pahinga.

I knew it because he always calls me. He never failed to update me and his kids about his day each night passed.

Exactly eight in the evening, pumasok na ako sa room namin ni Andrius para magpahinga. When I was about to enter myself into the comforter, the door of my room moved open. Niluwa nito ang lalaking pinakahihintay ko simula pa kahapon.

He's rushing into our room as if he'll be late for something. Nakangiti ako habang pinapanood siya. He smiled weakly at me. Wearing a white dress shirt with a striped brown and black necktie. It's tucked-in to his black pants.

He quickly jumped into our bed.

Napatili ako nang yakapin at hilahin niya ako palapit sa kaniya. "Ugh! This is what I've missed. Ugh. Rest..." He whispered breathlessly.

Ngumuso ako at sumandal sa kaniyang dibdib. I looked up to him. He looked down on me. "I've been missing my kid's daddy too."

He kissed me, passionately. A replied to my longingness.

"I love you, wife..." He whispered.

"I love you more..."

When Andrius requested he wanted a one-year-old child after he graduated in Med School, I literally gave him a son. He's wanting a family. And I wanted what he wanted too.
