Ella
Scarlett and I were bored out of our minds, so we decide to go annoy her brothers.
Descending down the steps with giddy, we scoped out the bottom floor.
Where are they?
I ran to the entry way window and peeked my head outside, observing the scene.
"One of your brothers' cars is missing!" I shouted as I recognized the empty spot in the driveway.
That said car may fit 8, but this family knows how to jam-pack a car. If a bus can fit in the same lane as a car, ten people can fit in an eight-seater.
"The backyard is empty," Scarlett informed me as she walked over to me. She must not have heard me.
"I said that a car is missing, Scar," I repeated, shaking my head in hopes of her picking up what I was putting down.
"Oh for Christ's sake, Scar," I sighed, snapping my fingers, "check their location!"
Scarlett whipped out her phone and opened up the tracker app. We stood over her phone, eyes glued to the screen as the refresh button loaded.
Bingo! They're at the mall! Why the fuck are they at the mall? They never agree to that!
"They're just at the mall," Scarlett stated, seemingly satisfied enough with her discovery as she placed her phone back in her sweatpants pocket.
"Think, you idiot," I pushed, "they never go to the mall with us!"
"I don't think it's that big of a deal, El," Scarlett said, walking over to lay on the couch, "they could have just finally caved in on having to buy things they want."
"You're rich, Scarlett! You never have to go to the mall!"
She gave me a 'seriously' look before rolling her eyes.
"Fair point," she began, "I guess. But we can't overthink something as small as a mall trip. Come sit. We'll wait for them to arrive."
I gave up on my detective skills for a moment, not that I really had any skill, and joined her on the couch, patiently awaiting her nine brothers' return.
-
About thirty minutes later, Scarlett and I were half asleep as we lay sprawled out on her couch.
We were so tired, in fact, we didn't even hear her brothers come home.
"You guys suck at bowling," a female voice teased, giggling.
Scarlett and I immediately shot each other our signature what the fuck look. I turned my body faster than I'd like to admit towards the area of the sound.
"Scarlett!" I whispered, slapping her arm in desperation for her to quickly see what I'm seeing.
Lining the entry way were about five girls and all Scarlett's brothers.
But not any five girls... the bitchiest, rudest, most predictable, annoying, social-climbing, fake girls.
Ava, Josie, Carly, Gracelyn, and Olivia.
