I don't even like house parties, so I don't really know why I went. I guess I just do whatever the Romanos do, even if that means following them into a sweaty, stuffy house with hundreds of kids.
In the car ride there, all the brothers were immediately on us about our drinking habits.
"It's completely out of hand," Brandon scolded, "so you're not drinking tonight."
"We make our own choices, Brandon," Scarlett responded, rolling her eyes. I nodded, clutching my water bottle of vodka close to my chest.
"Plus, we already did three shots each," I added.
"I'm serious," Brandon said, "hand it over."
"Not happening."
Long story short, he ripped the bottle out of my grip, but I wasn't concerned. There'd be plenty of alcohol at this party. Maybe it would do me some good to be sober for the night...of course not!
We made a beeline for the drinks table as soon as we got into the house, but our eager hands were grabbed by Spencer and Levi.
"You guys shouldn't be drinking," Levi said.
We were dumbfounded. The boys really went out of their way to ensure we got nothing tonight.
"Pretty please?" Scarlett begged.
They blocked the table like a wall. "Not happening."
I grabbed Scarlett's hand and guided us away. "We've been compromised," I said, "so we must be careful about how we approach this. We have two options: be sober for the night, or...there is no or. We can't get alcohol."
"There is an or," she said with a grin, "we cause chaos."
"My favorite word," I smirked.
"What's your favorite word?" Josie asked from behind us.
Josie is the girl Clay had been getting with since we got home from Puerto Rico, and everyone was very aware. He brought her home a couple times, thinking we wouldn't hear. We heard.
She's very cute and he seemed to like her a lot, but when she appeared before us, we had only one option. Scarlett gave me a knowing look.
"Hey Josie! We've actually been looking for you."
"Me?"
"Yes! How are things with Clay?"
"They're good."
"Not great?"
"I wouldn't use the word great," she frowned.
I placed a hand on her shoulder. "Don't settle for less than great."
"You know," Scarlett said, "Clay is not the only brother who likes you. So if you want another go, let me know."
"Who?" Josie asked quickly, seeming brightened.
"Noah." Noah was the obvious choice because we knew he'd jump on the opportunity to get back at Clay for taking Ava.
"Oh, oh my God, I should go find him!" She wove herself back in with the crowd, and Scarlett and I fist bumped, although this was not the end.
We traversed the room, waiting for the next opportunity to present itself, but out of the corner of my eye, I saw the drinks table was now empty. I pointed to it, and Scarlett nodded. "Let's go."
3 shots later we were feeling great, rejuvenated to go partake in more mischief. Eventually we stumbled upon Jules, who for once was not with Liam.
"Jules!" We exclaimed, each wrapping her in a quick hug.
