Ella
After being home for a week, someone in our grade was throwing a huge party. The Romanos decided to host a big pregame for all of our friends, which amounted to a lot of people. The brothers' friends were there as were ours. I must say, Scarlett and I have expanded our group significantly, so all together the pregame was probably 30 or 35 people.
"I'm so excited for tonight," Scarlett said as she applied lip gloss in the mirror.
"I have a bad feeling about tonight," I replied hesitantly, "I don't even know why."
"What could go wrong?" she asked, grabbing my hand so we could go join everyone downstairs.
"A lot," I said under my breath.
My head was running through worst case scenarios, but I tried to shake it off. I'm going to need a lot of vodka to get through tonight.
And that's exactly what I did, with Scarlett by my side, of course. We had mango flavored vodka and it was dangerous. We walked around, chatting with everyone but not going crazy quite yet. I still had that weird feeling in the pit of my stomach, but the alcohol seemed to dilute it.
When Zander and Kevin walked through the door, we squealed and wrapped them in a big group hug. The other siblings have been getting to know them, too, and they get along very well, so we invited them here.
Five minutes later, Clay showed up and tapped on our shoulders. "I hope you don't mind," he said, "but I invited Parker and some of their friends."
"Who?" Scarlett asked, scratching her head.
"Parker," he repeated, "as in Gage and Parker."
"Okay," I shrugged, my brain unable to process anything.
Then they entered the room: Parker, Kane, Dylan, Wesley, and Cooper. And in front and center was Gage.
Gage wasted no time approaching us. "Hey guys," he said adamantly.
"Hey?" I replied. Scarlett and I both had confusion written all over our faces.
"Come, sit down, let's catch up." He gestured us into some back room. We followed him, suddenly happy to see him. We turned and gave each other excited grins.
We all sat on the couch, smiling like maniacs. "It's been too long," I slurred. "So much has happened, Gage!"
"Well, I can't wait to hear all about it!" he cheered.
We told everything: our brother's drama, our new friends, their parents, our love lives, everything.
Scarlett told him about Clay and Noah and all the girls that have divided them.
I told him about the color war.
She told him about Max and Corey dragging us on an adventure to find their parents, and how they completely didn't want them.
I told him about Brandon and Liam's recent heartbreaks.
She told him about Gabe's hospitalization.
I told him about Zach getting with another girl.
She told him about her pregnancy scare and why she and Henry are over.
I told him about Reece. I know, what a massive mistake that was. I can only hope and pray that I can trust him enough to not spread that information. The thought of Zach finding out keeps me up at night.
"Wow," he said, "never a dull moment at the Romano's, huh?" We shook our heads vigorously.
"Not at all," Scarlett replied.
From the other room we heard Brandon calling our names. "We're leaving," he shouted.
"I'll see you there?" Gage asked.
"Duh!" we said in unison.
