Christmas Eve Part 2.
Scarlett
After clinking our wine glasses together, Ella and I set off on our wonders of the night.
On my search for Josh, of course, I saw too many things I didn't want to.
For starters, I had run into Ava and Clay.
She was flirting so harshly, rubbing her hand on his bicep. He was returning it, holding his fingers on her waist.
I "accidentally" shoved into him as I ran by.
Then I saw Finn and he waved me over. I had no other choice but to go up to him.
His whole appearance was messy. He looked obliterated. He reeked of Tequila mixed with sweat.
"What do you say about that raincheck?" He smirked, rubbing his thumb across my cheek.
I swatted his hand off of me. Cooties.
"Finn, no!" I sneered, disgusted. He looked confused. Rolling my eyes, I walked away.
Where was Josh? Was he even here?
I sat on the stairs and wallowed in defeat. As I glanced around my living room, everyone seemed like they were having a great time. I could see some of my brothers shotgunning over the rug, which I knew they'd get shit from Brandon about.
"Excuse me," someone said, causing me to turn my head to them. We both gave each other wide eyed looks when we realized who each other were.
"Liam," I greeted, seeing a girl holding his hand. The girl was Jules. I didn't know much about her, honestly, but I knew my brothers were fond of her.
"Can you move to the side," he questioned, his tone dry and giving off the impression he was trying to seem cool in front of her.
Oh my god, they're going upstairs. Gross.
"Ew, Liam!" I expressed, my shoulders raising in realization.
I sprung from my position as I headed for the kitchen, hearing Liam chuckle at my reaction.
Josh!
"Josh!" I exclaimed, waving him over. He turned and his face evidently lit up.
He walked over to me, giving me a hug. His embrace was so welcoming.
"I've been looking for you," I beamed like a little kid who just got candy.
"Is that so?" He replied, smiling. His smile made me melt.
"You look great."
He was wearing nice black pants and a semi-formal, semi-causal white top. His hair was styled effortlessly as his brown eyes glistened.
"Thanks, Letti," he replied, "you look even better."
I for sure blushed.
We got into some small talk before I had an idea. I walked over to the mistletoe, looking both ways before abruptly pulling it off and holding it.
I gestured for him to follow me to my room. I made him wait a few minutes before proceeding after me just incase people were watching.
As we sat in my room, I made sure to lock my door. I had learned from my mistakes.
I held up the mistletoe, internally slapping myself for how awkwardly I did it.
Josh laughed, but wasted no time pulling me in. We made-out for a few minutes before pulling away from each other. We sat there cuddled up, yet knew we couldn't be up here for long.
"That was adorable," he told me, referencing the mistletoe I brought up.
We exchanged our goodbyes as I unlocked my door, heading off first.
I liked him a lot. He was gentle with me and I could tell he truthfully liked me. My brothers were wrong about this friend of theirs— he didn't just want to fuck me. It felt amazing.
I ran into the living room, looking for somebody to speak to.
"Hey, sista!" Noah cheered, holding a handle in each hand. I laughed at the sight.
"Having fun?" I poked, crossing my arms. He gave a cheesy, exaggerated head nod.
"Take a shot!" He pushed, handing me one of his Vodka bottles. I quickly gave in, having a lot of fun myself.
The burning sensation traveled down my throat and immediately to my chest. I shook from the feeling.
"Couldn't even tell it hit you," Noah joked, causing me to playfully hit his arm.
Noah was a party animal. He was always the most fucked out of us all— well, most the time.
I hadn't seen half my brothers tonight which was odd. I couldn't even find Ella.
Just as I thought that, I saw Zach hanging with some of his friends. He looked happy, really happy. I wondered if him and Ella made it to the mistletoe.
"Come! Let's play beer pong!" Noah shouted with joy, dragging me over to the table.
We waited for the last team to finish before we set up for ourselves.
"Okay, me and you versus," Noah began, scanning the room for opponents.
"Brandon! Corey! What do you say to a friendly sibling beer pong battle?"
"Oh, you're going down," Corey declared, taking his spot on the other side.
Noah and I were losing, which he blamed me for, but I didn't let him get to my head.
"Oh, shit, guys. Did Liam share the news with you two?" Brandon remembered, looking at us as he briefly halted the game.
"You mean how he was going to presumably fuck Jules," I laughed, earning weird looks from the rest of them.
Well, I guess that wasn't the news!
"No," Brandon expressed confusion, "I'm talking about mom and dad."
Noah and I shook our heads.
"They're coming home for Christmas."
"No shot," Noah huffed, scoffing a laugh in disbelief.
"I'm so serious."
I couldn't help but smile. The idea excited me, but I was scared to get my hopes up. Though, I couldn't tell if I did want my parents at Christmas.
Christmas was a time for family, and they just didn't make the family feel complete anymore.
"Well, then I need a bonus chug," Noah informed, eagerly gulping from a bottle he had beside us to refill the cups with.
