News Years Eve 3.
Third person.
As the clock struck thirty seconds, the crowd began to countdown out loud.
Ella and Scarlett found each other, holding hands as they plastered fake smiles on their faces.
Both the girls were sad, which was no way to ring in a new year.
As for the brothers, they were all in a group, yelling and laughing with one another as they too counted down— all but two of them.
"And that is why I think this basketball season is going to be the basketball season. One for the books," Reece said, looking his brother in the eyes.
"TEN"
"NINE"
"Reece, seriously! Can we go! There are ten fucking seconds left!" Zach shouted, pushing past Reece who was blocking the doorway.
Zach ran into the living room as he searched for Ella.
"FIVE"
She was nowhere to be seen.
"FOUR"
Zach felt angry. Reece had to have done that on purpose.
"THREE"
'God, where could she be?' He thought to himself.
"TWO"
"Zach!" Clay exclaimed, grabbing Zach in a side hug with the rest of the brothers.
"ONE"
"Happy New Year!" The crowd shouted, cheering and blowing horns.
Happy New Year?
Zach forced a smile, jumping up with his brothers.
Ella and Scarlett hugged, both of their faces dropping as soon as the other couldn't see them anymore.
Josh cheered with his friends, his heart feeling like a piece of it was crushed.
Happy New Year, Decuplets.
Happy New Year.
