Ella
"I don't know, Scar! She just begged me to have us see her," I explained, sitting on my best friend's couch in her room.
Fiona had sent me a series of calls and messages begging for just at least one minute of Scarlett and I's time. We don't know why, but of course have our assumptions.
"Well, if it is an apology," Scarlett said, frustrated and hurt, "I don't want it."
"Scar! El!" someone called out, knocking on her door. We invited them in.
"Fiona's here," Noah spoke, having only cracked the door open enough to peek his head through.
"Great!" Scarlett sarcastically remarked, rolling her eyes.
"Look, I know how fucked up Fiona is for speaking to Gage," Noah began, but I wasn't letting his get a 'but' in there.
"But what, Noah? It is so fucked up! Gage is a dick and did horrible things! Fiona knew that!"
Noah sighed. "I know, El, but I don't think Parker had ill intentions."
"Oh, of course you don't! Get out, Noah!" Scarlett spat, shoving him out as she slammed her door.
Parker is someone Scarlett's brothers actually don't hate as in individual-- with Gage, obviously, they hate him.
We went and got Fiona, sitting in Scar's living room.
"What is so urgent?" I began, sitting close to Scarlett as Fiona was opposite us.
"I know you guys hate me, but I was wrong," she began, looking disheveled. I raised a brow.
She continued. "Gage set Parker and I up so that he could find a way to get closer to you two. We broke up."
Such sort sentences simply did not explain enough. What does she mean?
"What are you talking about?" Scarlett questioned, clearly as lost as I was.
"I was with Parker and Gage in the car when Gage asked me to switch the song using his phone. A text from Jayden came up that said 'you're fucked for this, you know that right.' I became intrigued immediately and quickly snooped. Sure enough, he had told his friends, not Parker, that I was being used as an 'in' for you two. All the shit Gage told me Parker felt about me was a lie. He didn't even like me that much, but Gage was convincing him to 'keep trying' and to 'stay with me.'"
Jaw dropped. I could not believe my ears. Gage has done shit like this before, but never to this elaborate extent.
Scarlett and I shot each other a look.
"That's horrible, Fiona," Scarlett reacted, "but you still screwed us over. Regardless, you knew what Gage, and honestly Parker too by association and lying, did to Ella and I."
"Yeah, so thanks for telling us, but it doesn't change anything with us," I added, smiling sincerely.
It only took a bit of deliberation before she told us she understood and left. Scarlett and I just sat there in silence for a bit.
"He is fucking psychotic," I voiced, in disbelief.
"You're telling me."
Eager to spill this new, unbelievable information, Scar told her brothers to meet her in the living room.
The boys piled down relatively quickly, much to our surprise, and took their seats of choice.
Zach was shirtless and his messy hair made my heart beat raise instantly. Noticing, Scarlett swatted my arm with a smirk. Embarrassing.
"You won't believe what we just found out!" Scarlett hyped up, gesturing her arms as she spoke enthusiactically.
"I swear, if you two are friends with Gage and Parker again I am personally putting you both six feet under," Brandon growled, pinching the bridge of his nose with anger.
"Calm down now, don't get all worked up, Brandon!" I chuckled, causing others to crack smiles.
Scarlett and I explained the story in unison, making their jaws drop just as ours had.
"Okay, boys, up," Corey demanded, "we are going to go beat the fuckers up."
"Corey! No! Stop resorting to violence all the time!" Scarlett groaned, pulling her brother back down by his arm.
"Sometimes people deserve some violence, Scarlett," Clay challenged, scoffing and smirking somehow at the same time.
The siblings went back and forth for awhile before coming to a consensus, which Scar and I were forced to agree to because they weren't changing their minds.
"We're talking to him and that's final! He will learn a lesson!"
Scarlett and I sighed with defeat, but we couldn't really be all that upset.
"Okay."
I still couldn't believe Gage constructed such a plan.
