"Come over today alright? I miss having lunch with you. Work feels so lonely nowadays since you're so busy."

With a warm smile creeping on my face I answered, "Now you know how I feel."

"I would spend every second of my life with you if I could, I promise."

Wooyoung's complaining was visible in the background. But we were too used to it to respond to him.

"I'm messing with you San, I know it's not in your hands. But I will be visiting today, so what would you like me to bring?"

"We'll get food from the cafeteria, just bring yourself."

"Your company is seriously too lenient." I joked

"Well, I'll be waiting for you love."

"I'll see you in a bit then." I grinned

"Leo, it's been a while." Wooyoung said as he let me in

I smiled as I stepped in. San looked up from his computer and waved at me before signaling me to wait five more minutes. I simply nodded and took a seat at one of the sofa chairs in the corner.

Evelyn suddenly stood up from her desk. My eyes followed her in curiosity as she made her way to San's desk. She rested her arm on his shoulder and leaned close to him to look at his computer. My heart practically sank when he turned to face her, as she did the same. Their faces were just inches apart. I got ready to speak up when San pushed his chair back, to put some distance between the two. I relaxed again onto the chair, resting my back. But it wasn't quite over yet.

Was I overreacting? Why do I suddenly feel extremely bothered by her presence?

To my complete disappointment San's eyes were fixated on her for the next ten minutes or so as she talked on and on, forgetting work in the process.

"Leo right? I realized I've never said a proper hello." She unexpectedly turned to face me and walked closer to me with her hand held out

I had to force a smile as I shook her hands, "yes Leo, San's fiancé." I emphasized

"Right, his fiancé." she looked at San and chuckled

I furrowed my brows in confusion. What did she find funny? Perhaps San told her it was a lie? What reason would he have to do so though?

I shook the thoughts out of my head. I'm being completely paranoid. Even if he told her, it was only the truth.

My eyes darted from San to the other. I couldn't demand his attention while he was busy. But I hated how he hasn't spared me a glance yet.

When I finally had enough, I shot up from the chair. All eyes were instantly on me, making me regret my sudden action.

"I'm quite hungry, can't you continue all of this after lunch?" I asked softly

"Oh yes, sorry for keeping you waiting," he stood up, "let's forget work and have lunch." He smiled and took my hand as we walked to the cafeteria

I kept quiet the whole way which concerned San. He turned to look at me with furrowed brows. I simply looked away, and that was enough to express my emotions.

"Hey? What's wrong." He stopped in his place

"Nothing I just..." I sighed

"You can talk to me, come here." He grabbed my hand and walked to an empty office before shutting the doors behind him

He stood in front of me, waiting on me to speak my thoughts to him.

"This Evelyn girl," I started, "don't you think she's getting way too close to you?" I looked away as I spoke

"What? What do you mean getting close? Like physically or-"

"Yes physically in a way, it's making me sorta uncomfortable."

"I think you're reading too much into it Leo. All she did was help me with work. She's comfortable with everyone here, not just me." He explained

"But, I feel like boundaries should be placed, you know? I mean especially since she knows about us. It feels like she doesn't even care what I think." I looked down

"Leo, we've been working together for a while now, we're just close."

"That doesn't make it okay San." I scoffed disappointedly, "I don't want her to think I'm okay with that sort of interaction either."

"Do you hear yourself right now? You're so paranoid for no reason."

"Doesn't my opinion matter to you? Shouldn't you at least try to understand me?" I looked him in the eye

"There's nothing going on, you should trust me more on that don't you think?"

"Even so, friendships shouldn't have to be all touchy-touchy."

"Did you forget how you acted with Yunho back then?" He scoffed

"You think I've been touchy with him now?" I furrowed my brows

"Here you are complaining about me, saying I'm doing this and that, but you're forgetting the amount of things you've done under the name of friendship."

"Now you're just throwing out random shit. That's Yunho you're talking about, I have been friends with him longer than I have known you!" I yelled

He fell silent upon my words. What I had said was slowly starting to sink in.

"What's your point then?" He softly asked

"I didn't mean anything by it, it just came out."

"Do you trust him more then? Is it only okay if it's him? Even after everything that's happened?" He raised a brow

"Are you seriously saying all of this just because I told you to watch out for yourself?"

"Now you know how I felt back then. I'm leaving before this gets any worse." He sighed

He turned away and walked out the door leaving me dumbfounded. I groaned in frustration and took a deep breath before chasing after him.

I grabbed his hand making him turn around.

"Just like that, we're gonna go back to not talking to each other for a week. Is that what you want?" I ask him

"That is definitely not what I want, and you know that. I'm stepping away from this so it doesn't turn into a bigger problem." He clenches his jaw

"You know that if you walk away right now, it's going to turn into a bigger problem."

"There is no problem, it's all in your head." He answered harshly

"You're right actually, Evelyn pressing herself against you is all in my head." I nodded while clenching my jaw

"Evelyn didn't-"

"You're acting as if I didn't see that with my own eyes." I tried to lower my voice as to not attract anyone's attention

"You know what, this isn't a good time. We'll talk later at home." He rolled his eyes

"Yeah you're right, I'll be leaving now." I turned to walk away but before I could, he grabbed my hand

"At least eat before going." He spoke while looking me in the eye

"I've seen enough to lose my appetite." I shook his hand off and walked away

"Leo," he called, "Leo!" He spoke louder

I paused with a sigh and turned around to face him, "what?"

"I'll see you tomorrow, won't I?"

I kept the eye contact for a couple more seconds before I deeply sighed and walked away, without giving him an answer.
