"I'm exhausted!" I threw my head back and screamed out in frustrationThe icy-cold days were now behind us and that meant exam time nearing. That also meant staying shut indoors and forcing every cell in your brain to cooperate. What's even worse than that was having no time to see San anymore.
We do phone calls every now and then but other than that the only time I'd see him is during class that's been reduced to twice a week. And that's taking a toll on my energy.
I forced myself to focus back on the screen in front of me but I just couldn't process whatever I was supposed to be reading anymore. With a sigh, I shut the laptop in front of me and shut my eyes along with it.
"I need a break." I leaned back on the couch to rest my head when all of a sudden I felt the vibration of my phone
I peeked an eye open, much expecting San to be the one calling but to my surprise it was Wooyoung.
"Leo! Hey by any chance is San around?" He asked
"No actually, he was at home last I called. He doesn't go out before exams to focus on studying." I explained
"Oh right- uh well I'll call him again, thanks."
"No problem."
With that I shut my phone again to resume but yet again, my phone was ringing. And again, it wasn't San. I put the phone against my ears and answered,
"Yunho? What a nice surprise, haven't heard from you in a bit." I started
"I know right, that's why I'm on my way now."
"...seriously? You do know I have my finals coming up right?"
"I'm aware."
"Then what are you here for?" I chuckled
"Come on, a day break won't hurt. Not even a full day just a couple of hours of it." He whined
I glanced back at the mess of books in front of me with a deep sigh. Yes obviously I wanted a break so bad, and this was a very nice excuse for one.
"Fine, just let me know when you're close by."
"Got it, but get dressed I'd rather have you go out for some fresh air."
"Even better, I have a place in mind."
"Let me guess, a restaurant?" He chuckled
"Yes! Everyone's going there nowadays and I haven't had the chance to go with San yet but it looks so good!"
"Right, how's it going with San? Still serious about it?"
"Yeah, I really like him." I answered
"That's good then, as long as you're happy." He sighed
"But these days, I mean I know it's because of the exams, but it's been so lonely. I can't recall the last time we've been out together." I sulked
"Have you talked to him?"
"Well yeah, but he doesn't like going out when he has studying to do, it stresses him out."
"That's up to him then, I'll fill in for him for now."
"As much as it's a really bad time for you to be here, I also need a break to breathe a little." I chuckled
"My timing is always perfect." He confidently replied
"Well then Mr. perfect timing, I'll send the address and get dressed till you arrive. See ya soon."
"Got it, see you."
