"You played me!" Song Ji-Hye was stunned for a while before she suddenly came back to her senses. She stood up and shouted while pointing at Jennie angrily.
The police officers next to them frowned upon seeing this. They coughed lightly to warn Song Ji-Hye.
Song Ji-Hye became stiff, and the aura around her became weaker as well.
Jennie chuckled. She got up and glanced at Song Ji-Hye with disdain. "Do you really think that I would be unprepared? Song Ji-Hye, you're still too naïve. Since I let Yu-min know that the recording exists, do you think that I would not be prepared at all? You should be grateful that those people didn't kill me that day. Otherwise, the recording would have been automatically posted on the internet, and now, there will be one more person here to accompany you and your daughter."
As soon as Jennie finished speaking, the last trace of blood on Song Ji-Hye's face completely faded. She looked at Jennie as if she was looking at a monster..
"Don't look at me with this kind of gaze. To deal with people like you guys, I'm afraid that I won't know how I died if I didn't keep an eye on you guys."
Jennie ignored Song Ji-Hye's vicious gaze, and she slowly walked out from behind the table. Then, she walked around the obstructive table and walked to Song Ji-Hye step by step. She looked down and said, "Speaking of it, the recording had been really useful. The first time I used it, Yu-min was frightened. The second time I used it, Jung Tae was angry. In your opinion, would I be able to scare you if I take it out now?"
"You..." A trace of panic quickly flashed in Song Ji-Hye's eyes. Her hands that had been placed on her knees obediently could not help but clenched into fists, and she slowly raised them up.
Jennie saw her every move. She casually extended her hand and put it on the back of Song Ji-Hye's chair. "Actually, you don't have to be so nervous. If I really wanted to use that to deal with Yu-min, I don't have to wait until now."
As Jennie spoke, she suddenly got near Song Ji-Hye's ear. She whispered, "Sometimes, when you really want to deal with a person, it is much more fun to play with a prey until it wishes to die before eating instead of killing it from the start."
Song Ji-Hye's eyes suddenly widened. She stared at Jennie who had already straightened up blankly. "Y-You did it on purpose!"
She purposely let Yu-min know about the existence of this recording and used it to drive her out of the company. This is because Jennie knew that once Yu-min was kicked out of the company, Song Ji-Hye would definitely panic and go to Jung Tae for help.
When Jung Tae came to look for her, she purposely used this recording again to draw out the grievances Jennie had suffered under Song Ji-Hye over the years. She took the opportunity to destroy the relationship between him and Song Ji-Hye as well as Yu-min.
Jennie did not deny it. She looked at Song Ji-Hye's resentful eyes and continued to laugh mockingly. She said, "I expected you to be panicked once you knew about it, but I never thought that you would lose your mind and ruin yourself because of this. In this way, it saved me a lot of trouble."
"You... you darn..." Jennie's words were like the final straw. It completely crushed Song Ji-Hye's sanity.
With a bang, Song Ji-Hye got up from the chair, and she wanted to pounce on Jennie.
Jennie had been preparing for a long time. She moved to the side skilfully and avoided Song Ji-Hye's scratching.
At the same time, the police officers on the side quickly rushed up as well. They pressed Song Ji-Hye on the table when the situation was a mess.
But at that point, Song Ji-Hye had lost her mind for a long time. She stared at Jennie with a pair of red eyes. Her face was hideous, and she kept struggling.
Jennie looked at Song Ji-Hye's reactions. She narrowed her eyes slightly and said softly, "I really should let Jung Tae look at your current appearance and let him know what kind of a person the woman he has adored for more than ten years is like. However, I think he should have known it by now. After all, it is impossible for a woman who hired someone to kill people to be kind. Under this circumstance, do you think he would choose to spend a lot of effort to rescue you, a vicious woman, or find another gentle and considerate lover?"
"No, Jung Tae won't treat me like this. He won't treat me like this! The relationship between me and him is more than ten years. He likes me so much, so it is impossible for him to abandon me and find another woman at this time!"
"When you say this, won't you feel guilty? If you really want to talk about time, my mother was his childhood friend. Who else can get along with him longer than my mother? He still abandoned my mother without hesitation."
"No, it's not the same. I'm different from your mother!" Song Ji-Hye struggled and shouted, "How can your mother compare to me? I gave birth to his son. Did your mother have a son? Did she?"
"You're right, my mother didn't give birth to his son. But if you can give birth to his son, other women can give birth to his son as well."
Jennie looked at Song Ji-Hye's expression that suddenly stiffened. The mockery in her eyes became even obvious. "You've been in the police station for a day. Why didn't I see the man, who has been with you for more than ten years, come to visit you?"
"This..." Song Ji-Hye's expression changed slightly. A trace of terror appeared in her eyes.
"To tell you the truth, as soon as you were taken away yesterday, your precious daughter rushed to find Jung Tae anxiously."
Since the car accident, Jennie had been asking people to monitor Raewon and Raewon's families. After she listened to Xiao Jingyao's words yesterday, she received a call from those who monitored them. She got a lot of useful information from those people.
Recalling the things Jennie heard last night, she could not help but look at Song Ji-Hye with a little pity. However, most of it was an evil gloat. "Unfortunately, not only that Yu-min failed to find you a helper, but she also bumped into Jung Tae and a woman, whom he recently adored, living under the same roof intimately. They were full of affection toward each other, other people would be so envious of them. Yu-min was angry, so she reasoned with Jung Tae for you. But Jung Tae got angry at Yu-min because of that woman. Even if Yu-min told him that you were arrested and begged him to save you, he was indifferent. He held his new lover in his arms and closed the door on Yu-min. He even said to her..."
"He said what?" Song Ji-Hye asked with a pale face.
"He said..." Jennie stared at Song Ji-Hye's eyes. She said those cruel words word by word, "To let you die."
Song Ji-Hye's struggle suddenly stopped. Then, she started to struggle even more. "Impossible. It's impossible. You're lying to me. You're lying to me!"
Jennie stood at the side with her arms crossed. She looked at Song Ji-Hye from a high position, as if she was looking at a dying struggling ant. "I have told you what I should tell you. No matter whether you believe it or not, this is the truth."
