A crease appeared between Jung Tae's eyebrows. He wondered what else could it be if not for Yu-min offending Jennie, as well as being found displeasing in Jennie's sight and so, got her kicked out of Kim Enterprise.
Looking at Jung Tae's expression, Jennie knew that Yu-min and Song Ji-Hye certainly had not told him the entire story. As she recalled what Jung Tae had said previously, the smile of mockery grew increasingly prominent.
"From the look of it, you didn't have the slightest bit of idea about the nasty thing Yu-min did. So, today you came to me because you think that I've misused my authority for personal gain and wronged your precious daughter, right?"
Jennie sucked in a deep breath, "Great. That's wonderful! Since Yu-min is still thinking of working on things in her way, I no longer have to keep covering up for her. Mr. Kim, I have something with me, it's a recording and this is the reason why Yu-min has been kicked out of Kim Enterprise. You better listen to it carefully and tell me afterward if I should bring her back to Kim Enterprise."
Upon listening to Jennie's words, Jung Tae could not help but frown. He instinctively felt that what he was about to hear was not going to be something good. Yet, his curiosity got the better of him and he wanted to know the entire story.
Jennie gave him no options. She immediately took out the portable mobile phone and pressed the play button.
Originally, Jung Tae was a little puzzled. But, when he heard the two familiar voices coming out of the mobile phone, the hint of puzzlement dissipated without a trace.
The office fell silent except the occasional noises of arguments came out from the mobile phone.
While the dialogues between the two were playing, Jung Tae's expression changed from puzzlement to utter horror. Then his complexion turned pale and finally, he was filled with shock and panic.
His daughter... his daughter almost... murdered someone! On top of that, she nearly killed his daughter!
Jennie had been observing Jung Tae's reaction ever since she pressed the play button. After some time, she paused the recording and added fuel to the fire by saying, "Mr. Kim, I suppose now you know the reason why I insisted on driving your daughter out of Kim Enterprise, right?"
The impact was so great that Jung Tae had difficulty recovering his senses. His face turned white. He pointed at Jennie's mobile phone and said with difficulty, "This... this..."
Jennie smiled faintly, "Do you still remember the accident of the falling elevator that happened in the company not long ago? It's not an accident. It was an intentional homicide! Moreover, the culprit who devised the homicide is precisely your so-called innocent daughter — Ms. Kim, Mr. Kim!"
"How can this... How is this possible..." Jung Tae felt like he had been struck by thunder. The feeling was so unbearable that he took a few steps back.
Jennie inexplicitly gloated when she saw his expression.
The reason why she had not lodged a police report and let them arrest Yu-min immediately after gathering sufficient evidence was because she wanted to seize the opportunity to cut ties with Jung Tae.
If she did not spare Yu-min from the beginning, Song Ji-Hye would not spare her, and even though Jung Tae would not say anything to her on the surface, he would certainly resent her from the bottom of his heart.
The couple was of the same kind, and not forgetting Minchul who was currently overseas. These people might come together and cause big trouble for her.
However, the situation had changed. Jennie had Yu-min's crime evidence in her hands and yet, she spared Yu-min. With that, Jung Tae would think that she was generous and forgiving, while had scruples about Yu-min who intended to kill her elder sister.
Jennie also spent some effort in driving a wedge between Jung Tae and the mother-daughter pair so that he held grudges against them.
Song Ji-Hye had a good life in the Kim family all because Jung Tae doted on her. In addition, she also gave birth to a son who was rather successful compared to others.
Once she loses her support from Jung Tae, Yu-min and her life in the Kim family would be very different from now.
As Jennie thought of this, the corners of her lips unwittingly curled upward. She said mockingly, "The entire dialogue has been recorded. What else is impossible? Why? Didn't Ms. Kim tell you about this? Well, she's right. How can she simply tell others about things like this? She could be sent to jail if she did. Luckily, Ms. Kim is already eighteen years old now. Otherwise, for a juvenile committing such a deed at this age, I'm afraid her guardian has to be blamed for this, right, Mr. Kim?"
The moment Jung Tae heard the word "jail", his face turned white. A hint of fear was caught in his eyes when he looked at Jennie.
Jennie, on the other hand, still had not had enough of it. She added, "When I first learned about the truth, I was just as shocked as you, Mr. Kim. As such, I have to make the hard decision to kick Ms. Kim out of Kim Enterprise so that she could reflect on herself. When I drove her out, I'd already told her that I could spare her, but I won't let an enemy who is after my life at all times to stay by my side. I hope she can manage herself well. little did I think that not only had she not reflected on herself, she had also asked you to look for me and above all, she never told you the truth. As a result, you and I have misunderstandings against each other."
Jennie's first half sounded like she was comforting Jung Tae. In fact, she was hinting to him that Yu-min had concealed such an important matter from him and had even asked him to plead on her behalf. If not for Jennie having a clear mind and sensing that something was not right, she might have thought Jung Tae was the mastermind behind who had instructed his daughter to do so.
In fact, the reason why Yu-min had not informed Jung Tae about this was because she was scared and at the same time, she felt guilty. However, after Jennie had mentioned this, the situation changed entirely. Yu-min was thought to have wanted to get away with her crime and so, she asked Jung Tae to plead on her behalf and put all the blame on him. He had been taken advantage of by his daughter.
What kind of person Jung Tae was? He was used to drinking alcohol, flirting and living a comfortable life. He hated being caught up in trouble the most.
Otherwise, Song Ji-Hye did not have to put in so much effort to persuade him to stand up for Yu-min back then.
Yet, Yu-min had caused him tremendous trouble this time. He got increasingly annoyed with Yu-min even though he did not appear to look so on the surface.
Of course, this was partly because he had already formed a certain impression about his daughter.
All the while, Jung Tae had thought that his precious daughter was just behaving mischievously. After all, young girls are normally spoiled and like to be pampered.
However, today, he realized that his daughter was no longer just being mischievous, she actually intended to murder someone! What else could she not dare to do?!
