Jennie looked at Lisa's face that had turned as dark as a thundercloud, and she tried her best to hold back her laughter, especially when she saw Lisa staring at the carrots in front of him as if those pieces of carrots had killed his father. He glared at them murderously. Then, he reluctantly ate the chunk of carrot that was held by Jennie.

Although his expression did not change after he swallowed it, there was a trace of disgust in his charming eyes.

Perhaps even Jennie, who was keen to see people embarrassing themselves, did not realize that she had learned to see the changes in his mood from the subtle changes on the face of the man with the stoic face.

This was a big step in progress for Lisa and herself, but they had never noticed it.

President Manoban was actively fed with most of the stir-fry meat with carrot. He was so depressed that he wanted to vomit before his savior came.

"Oh, you guys are eating. It seems like we came at the wrong time. Maybe we should go outside for a walk first and come to visit you guys later."

Jennie's movements suddenly stopped when she heard the familiar voice. She turned to look at the two people who appeared outside the ward and was stunned.

Besides Shin-hye, who had just spoken, there was also a tall and handsome man standing at the entrance of the ward. The man had a handsome face similar to Lisa, but he seemed more mature and calm because of his age. His facial features were much more deep-set than Lisa's as well.

Looking at the person in front of her, Jennie felt like she was looking at Lisa twenty years in the future.

Needless to say, Jennie could guess who this person standing next to Shin-hye and holding her arm affectionately was.

"Mrs. Manoban, Mr. Manoban, hello." Jennie did not show that she was surprised. She greeted the two people outside the ward politely and distantly.

Compared to Jennie's cold greetings, the emotional expression of Lisa was much more obvious.

When Jennie got up and had her back facing him, he gave the two people at the entrance a glare. He slightly frowned, and his eyes were filled with displeasure as he had been disturbed.

Since they knew that it was inopportune, they should have left quietly and tacitly just now. They should not speak and bother them like this.

Shin-hye received her son's resentful gaze, and she timidly hid behind her husband while feeling a little sad.

This unfilial son had forgotten his mother once he had Jennie. In order to pursue her, he would display such a murderous gaze to his biological mother. It was such a waste to raise him for so many years. He was just an ungrateful person.

Tae-joon noticed his son's gaze as well. His eyes flickered, and he calmly moved his gaze to the girl who greeted them. He stared at her up and down, and a trace of doubt appeared in his eyes.

Unlike Lisa and Shin-hye's previous indifference to Jennie, Tae-joon had regularly investigated his daughter-in-law.

It was just that this investigation had stopped after knowing that Lisa and Jennie were divorced. Now that Tae-joon saw Jennie again, he was surprised to find that the girl in front of him and the girl he knew from the investigation four years ago were totally different. It was like she was two separate people.

Jennie did not pay much attention to Tae-joon's curiosity. Since Shin-hye came with Lisa's father, she could leave for now.

Then, she smiled at the two of them and said, "Since Mrs. Manoban and Mr. Manoban are here, I believe that you guys have something to talk about between your family, so I'll go back first."

Jennie nodded at the two of them, and she was about to walk forward. Suddenly, she thought of something, so she stopped. She smiled and said, "By the way, Mrs. Manoban, President Manoban hasn't finished his meal. If you don't mind, please feed him. You can keep the lunch box. I'll pick it up at night."

Lisa did not like the sentence in which Jennie mentioned 'your family'. He always felt that Jennie was trying to separate herself from them. He wanted to make her stay, but he found that he had no reason to make her do so.

While he was feeling depressed, he suddenly heard Jennie's words. His facial expression immediately darkened.

Jennie could imagine how bad Lisa's facial expression was now without turning back. The corners of her lips curled up, and she passed the two people happily. She left without hesitation.

"Hey, son, your hand is not injured to the extent where you have to be fed even when you eat, right?" Shin-hye heard Jennie's words and moved her gaze to the lunch box on the table with a teasing expression. Then, she exclaimed as if finding something shocking, "Ah, there are carrots!"

Shin-hye let go of Tae-joon's hand and rushed to the table. With a shocked expression, she stared at the carrots. Obviously, more than half of them had been eaten.

God knew how much her son hated carrots. When he was a child, she found it funny, so she put a small piece of carrot that Lisa hated the most into the soup that she made.

When she brought the soup out, she had removed the carrot. After Lisa took one sip of it, he threw the bowl away and was angry at her for half a month.

But now, Lisa was actually eating carrot chunks! Were the pigs flying?

Tae-joon glanced at the carrots in the lunch box indifferently, and he was slightly surprised as well. But soon, he seemed to understand something. He stared at Lisa and asked out of the blue, "You have made up your mind?"

Lisa's eyes wavered, and the eyes that had always been cold softened a little. He replied very firmly, "Yeah."

Tae-joon was silent for a while. He subconsciously remembered the scene of Jennie greeting them politely and distantly in a manner that was neither humble nor arrogant, and she also appeared alert and indifferent when she passed by him.

Tae-joon did not know what caused such a big change in a person, but he respected his son's choice and believed in his taste.

So, he replied, "That's good."

The two short words showed Tae-joon's affirmation of the relationship between the two, and it also showed Tae-joon's acknowledgment of Jennie.

Lisa raised his eyebrows slightly. There was a trace of pure Leo in his deep eyes. "I know."

'She is a good person. No one knows this better than me.'

The father and son exchanged glances tacitly to show that they understood each other. The atmosphere was indescribably harmonious. But someone did not want to be left alone, so she intervened at this time, breaking the inherent atmosphere.

"Lisa, when Jennie left just now, she asked me to supervise you and make sure you eat all these things," Shin-hye gloatingly said while holding the lunch box.

Lisa was speechless.

So, President Manoban's face darkened again.
