Reversal 7

Several years after…

“Babe, you’re here! How’s work? Wanna have some coffee?”

“Hi Babe! Tired as always but one kiss from you will make me feel alive again,” Hueningkai joked and then hugs his boyfriend, Kang Taehyun.

Taehyun giggled and kissed Hueningkai’s lips. “You’re doing great! As always,” Taehyun compliment and they walk towards the living room and takes a seat.

“How about your job hunting, Babe?” Hueningkai asked.

“Cool!” Taehyun reacted and puts down his mug on the table. “Actually, I meet one of my senior during college and he’s looking for someone to hire— it’s kinda personal job? Like a secretary or something? Or let’s just call it a personal assistant?” Taehyun explained.

“Personal assistant? Babe, can you do it? It’s like out of your field already,” Hueningkai worries.

“We both know I can’t be picky about job, Babe. We need to earn already. Also, my senior said that the salary is quite high than the minimum wage! It’s a grab!” Taehyun convinced his boyfriend.

Hueningkai nods and smiles, “Okay then, it’s up to you. But if you can’t do it then don’t force yourself, okay? I’m really sorry this isn’t what I promised to you—“

“Tsk!” Taehyun cuts him off and frowns. “You’re at it again, Babe! No one knows it’ll happen and it’s not your parents’ fault, okay? They just wanted to grow the business but some people just sucks that they are scamming others,” Taehyun stated.

“Yeah… sorry again,” Hueningkai apologized and smiles.

“Don’t worry! As long as you have your stable job and I can have mine now, we can lessen the expenses. Don’t worry about dad’s medication too, I’ll take care of it,” Taehyun replied.

Hueningkai’s smiles went wider and then pulled Taehyun closer to him, made him sit on his lap and hugged him. “I’m so lucky to have you, Babe. You’re just… everything. You’re so understanding, kind, knows how to take care of me, cook, clean, and loves me. I love you so much, Taehyun.”

Taehyun smiles and hugged his boyfriend then kissed the top of his head. “I love you too, Kai. You’re taking care of me too, you know!” he giggled. “We’ll get through this.”

Taehyun’s smile fades when he heard another voice inside his mind, saying the exact line.  He just closed his eyes and brushed that thought and let go of Kai.

“I’ll cook dinner now,” Taehyun said and gets up then went to the kitchen. He opens the fridge and pursed his lips when he saw how empty it is.

“Ah Babe, do you have extra money?” Hueningkai asked Taehyun.

Taehyun looked at him. “Why Babe? For what?”

“Our due for this month bills,” Hueningkai replied.

Taehyun closes the fridge and nods. “I have… Ah, do you want to eat ramyeon with eggs today?” he asks.

“Sure! I love it— the spicy one!”

“Here’s the next list for your P.A applicants, President Choi,” Secretary Choi handed a folder to President Choi Beomgyu.

Beomgyu pulled his eyes off the other paper and received the folder his secretary is giving him. He opens it and started reading it. “Where the hell did this people came from Choi Soobin?” Beomgyu annoyingly asked while flipping the pages.

“I don’t know where the hell they came, Beomgyu. It just handed to me too,” Soobin replied in his usual blunt voice.

“These girls are just so—“

“So what? The last one, she begged to get fucked,” Soobin continued when Beomgyu stops midway.

Beomgyu’s eyes locked at the current page. He suddenly feels uneasy. He’s intently looking at the picture of the applicant and different thoughts crossed his mind.

“Secretary Choi,” Beomgyu called.

“Yes, President?” Soobin replied in his formal voice.

“Let Mr. Park interview this guy and hire him,” Beomgyu instructed and lend the folder back to Soobin.

“Kang Taehyun?” Soobin muttered. “President, the last time you hired a guy, it was a total chaos. Will you really going to do this? And hire him right away?” Soobin asked, clearly doesn’t have any idea who really Kang Taehyun is. "We need to do background checks first."

Beomgyu nods, “Hire him. I don’t care what will happen next,” he stated.

Soobin bowed, he knows she can’t win against his boss. “I’ll do it, President. Onto your next schedule, you have meeting at lunch…”

Secretary Choi is reporting what Beomgyu needed to do but his mind is already floating somewhere. Why? Is it because he’s going to meet Taehyun again? What is he trying to do?

“This will be fun,” Beomgyu muttered and smirks.

“-the current investment report— yes? Fun what, President Choi?” Soobin’s confused.

“Nothing… just I know it’ll be fun.”
