“You’ve been taking care of Taehyun?”

Hueningkai nods, “Since then… that day,” he answered. “I’ve been taking care of him.”

“Great, that’s good to know,” Beomgyu replied. “I’m glad someone took care of him since I left. Taehyun looks healthy and in a grade shape, I guess you really did well,” Beomgyu commented.

“Of course… I love him, that’s why,” Kai answered, stating the obvious.

“No wonder… But you’re not expecting I already forgave you, right?” Beomgyu suddenly asks, his voice is serious.

Hueningkai sighs, “You’re probably thinking Taehyun cheated, right?” he started. “Actually… he asked me a favour about it before. To be honest, I’m really hitting on him when we were on highschool even if I know you have him but Taehyu doesn’t take my gestures as like that and he’s just letting me then that day you found us out and he wasn’t cheating, Beomgyu.”

“What was that then, if not?”

“Taehyun was so confused and he suddenly asked me to a favour for him, he asks me first if I like him and I said yes then he said sorry. Then he used those feelings of mine to pretend that we’re already in relationship so he can make you go. Taehyun was afraid that you might to the same sacrifices and he doesn’t want that. Stupid me, I agreed with what he’s plan and then you left.”

Beomgyu partly know about Taehyun using Kai to make him stay away but hearing the real story from Hueningkai himself sounded even more truthful and painful at the same.

Poor Hueningkai getting used like that.

“Also, Taehyun didn’t and never cheated on you… he always comes home late because he started working inside the school as the teacher’s assistant and the foods and snacks he’s taking home are some of the food teachers giving to him aside from the small amount of his service and I’m always helping him out that’s why we were always together before and he asked me not to tell you about it,” he added an untold story.

Beomgyu gasps as he heard it for the first time. He didn’t even know Taehyun has been doing it and he even accused him of cheating. So he just nods, “I see… I totally understand it, since we already talk about that matter. But I’m curious what happened after that… Did you two start dating right away?” he asks.

Hueningkai shook his head, “No… that was the hardest. Taehyun never showed how hurt he was. He just keeps on studying, busied himself looking for part time job and at the same time looking for you— lowkey regretting what he did. I keep on visiting him from time to time to help him with things and to assure he’s always safe because he never— I never saw him cry because of you since you left. He’s keeping everything inside him and it scares me.”

Beomgyu purses his lips because he already expected it and that what scares him the most when left the younger too. Beomgyu is the only crying shoulder of Taehyun. Beomgyu is the only person he can easily cry on.

Hueningkai continued speaking, “We both entered college with the same business-related course just different majors. At the time, everything was good. He has part-time job, he still studies well, and I can see he’s slowly moving on. Then I gave it a try, I promised him I’m not going to be a burden for him, that I’ll just be with him it took him another year before he finally open his heart to love. Everything started in a good note but then my family’s business involved in a scam and that’s how things started to mess up a bit.”
