Reversal 9

“Mr. Kang? Excuse me, Mr. Kang? Mr. Kang Taehyun!”

“Yes!?” Taehyun quickly stood up and gulps when he meets Choi Soobin’s cold eyes that’s piercing him.

“It’s your first day of work and you’re dozing off!?” Soobin scolded him, frowning.

Taehyun looks down and pursed his lips. “I-I’m sorry,” he apologized.

“President Choi has meeting in 30 minutes make sure that the meeting hall is ready and a prepared coffee in his seat,” Soobin instructed.

“Yes! Ah, his coffee is Iced Americano, right?” Taehyun asks to double check and Soobin’s just staring at him. “Yes, sorry. I’m going now,” Taehyun quickly apologized and went away.

Soobin just looking at Taehyun who’s walking away in quick. Then Soobin looked at his wrist watch. “Will he be able to get here in five minutes?” he wondered.

Soobin heard a buzz in his desk so he went inside the President’s Office. “Where is he?” Beomgyu asked him, referring to Taehyun.

“I told him to get you a coffee, President,” Soobin answered when he get in front of Boemgyu’s desk. “Do you have something to tell him to?” Soobin added a question. “So, I can message him.”

“No, move the meeting right now,” Beomgyu instructed and stands up.

Soobin quickly get Beomgyu’s coat and made him wear it. “Yes, President,” he answered despite of being shocked by a sudden change in time.

Taehyun’s already at the café area of the building and asked about the President’s office. “Ah for President Choi? He doesn’t want the coffee here. His usual coffee is across the building. If you don’t want to get scolded, you should buy in there,” the one from the counter said.

“Oh, thank you,” Taehyun replied and went out from the building and crossed the road. “What the…” he exclaimed when he how long the line is.

He just sighs and goes to the line and that’s when he realizes his phone is not with him because he was hurried. Another deep sighs went out from his lips.

He’s not the same Beomgyu, he thought. He’s not the same Beomgyu he used to know anymore. The Beomgyu he knows won’t laugh about his status. The Beomgyu he knows won’t and will never look down on him.

He changed. Choi Beomgyu changed. He’s now a total stranger.

But somehow, Taehyun thinks it’s a good thing. Being a total stranger to each other is a good thing so he can focus on work. Besides, it’s not like he has still feelings for him anymore.

Taehyun just want to apologize and talk things out— a closure. But guess, it won’t be that easy with Beomgyu’s current attitude.

“One Iced Americano please, President Choi’s usual order,” Taehyun said after being on the line for almost 20 minutes.

“President Choi? You fall in line for him? God, you can just come here directly. You must be new,” the barista laughs as he does the drink.
