“Where’s Kai?”

“He already left at dawn. He said he gotta catch up at work,” his sister replied while also preparing herself for work.

Taehyun just nods at it, “How’s Timmy?” he asked referring to his nephew.

“He’s with his dad since his school is near there,” she answered while drying her hair. “So, what’s your plan while staying here?” she asks.

“Well… gotta look for a job?” Taehyun asks and went to the kitchen to drink some coffee.

“Why don’t you take a rest first and take care of dad?” she suggested.

“Mom’s doing at already, I gotta save up more for emergency,” Taehyun reasoned and stirs his coffee.

His sister sighs, “Okay then, it’s for you to decide. I’m going now,” she bid her goodbyes and went out.

Taehyun rested for a whole day, he clean his room and his things. He takes care of his dad and she talked with his mom with regards of his work. Of course, his mom scolded him for resigning when he’s having a great salary but he just takes it all in him because only Kai knows the real reason.

After a week, Taehyun started looking for a job inside the village. The elderly are all talking about him coming back so suddenly because first they know Taehyun graduated college and has a stable job, second they heard that Taehyun’s getting married in Seoul, and third they heard that Taehyun lose his job and the wedding got canceled.

Taehyun didn’t mind the eyes that and lips that are gossiping about his existence. He doesn’t give a fuck to anyone that doesn’t know what really happened and what he has been through. He had enough already.

“Hello, chief Lee! I heard you’re hiring for a server? I’m here to apply,” Taehyun with his resume went to their village chief restaurant that is always packed.

“Oh Taehyun! It’s really been awhile,” Chief Lee smiles. “Now, go, go at the back and put your apron on!” he exclaimed.

“Y-yes? For real?”

“Go now,” he laughs while gesturing him to move.

For months that’s how Taehyun’s work is. It’s tiring than his past work but we sure not forgetting how Taehyun worked his ass off during college… and here he is again.

Taehyun with his saved up money started to buy a house in the town. He suggested having a house in Seoul but his parents didn’t allow him. He still have a lot of money that’s enough for his dad’s medication. He doesn’t really need to work but he just wants to make himself busy.

Because every night at his dark room, he’ll always find himself crying over the same person. He’ll just spaced out for a second and everything will get back to him again.

He misses him, of course, but he shouldn’t to. Beomgyu’s engaged and he can’t do anything about it. Beomgyu needed to have a family with her and Taehyun can’t go against it.

How he hopes he can still fight for it but reality slaps him that he can’t.

Weeks passed, everything stay the same. Taehyun is being an all-rounder inside the resto and customer—especially teenagers getting fond of him and kept coming for him. For this day, he’s assigned in the cashier.
