Reversal 24

"I'll go with you... in that business trip."

Beomgyu let go of the iPad he's holding and look at Taehyun. "Great, I love it," Beomgyu answered and smiles.

Taehyun nods and smiles too. "And then... President, can I have an advance pay?" he asks, pursing his lips. "Kinda really needed it and I'm short of money," he reasoned and looks down.

"Tell Soobin about it," Beomgyu answered.

"Thank you," Taehyun replied then excused himself.

When he closes the door he breathes in and smiles before heading to Soobin. Last night when they kissed, things went awkward and the two decided not to talk about anymore. Beomgyu dropped Taehyun off where he's living. Taehyun haven't visited yet in the hospital where Hueningkai is and he directly went to his work right at the morning. He just messaged his boyfriend for that reason.

"You know advance payment is 40%, right?" Soobin asks Taehyun.

"Yes, Secretary Choi," Taehyun answered and he saw Soobin taps something on an iPad, wiring some money directly on Taehyun's bank account. "Thank you, Secretary Choi," he expressed after he received it and then signed some legal papers about it.

"So why did you changed your mind?" Soobin asks him, referring to the business trip.

"Sudden need of money?" Taehyun answered, unsurely. "And like what you said... opportunity," he added.

"Yes, it's a great opportunity only if you won't mess up in there," Soobin stated and seriously looked at Taehyun. "Kang Taehyun, be careful, you get that?"

"W-wait, you're not coming with me?" Taehyun asks in confusion.

"Yes, I'll be attending other meetings too in behalf of the President. That's why it's only the two of you," Soobin answered.

"N-no way! I mean... why..."

"It feels like you already know what will happen," Soobin said and stands up from his seat. "Be careful, Taehyun. You'll regret it a lot," he warns before leaving him and went inside Beomgyu's office.

Taehyun sighs and touch his lips with his index finger. "This is crazy," he muttered before taking a seat on his desk and do paperworks that Soobin instructed him to do so.

The whole day is full of casual works. When work's over, Taehyun went to the hospital and checked on Hueningkai. He's currently eating some fruits.

"Who's here with you?" Taehyun asks.

"Hiyyih just left," Kai answered. "How's work?"

"Great! The nurse said you're going to get discharged tomorrow?" he asks.

"Yeah, you can take some money on my account-"

"Don't worry it's on me," Taehyun stops him and smiles.

"Babe..."

"It's okay," Taehyun giggles. "It's still the same, don't worry about it," he added.

"Thank you," Hueningkai expressed and leans forward to kiss Taehyun's forehead. "I'll make it up to you, okay?"

"Sure!"

At this point, Taehyun is in his strongest emotional moment. He needed to pretend he didn't hear anything. He needs to pretend there's nothing wrong but deep inside him, the words he heard last night sure cuts him into half.
